Lets Fifa 10

Advantages: An almost perfect football simulation
Disadvantages: Some would say its Fifa 09 all over again

Introduction I wasn't intending on getting Fifa 10 until Christmas but when I saw it advertised for under £25 on the day of release, I had to rush out and buy it as I knew it would never be as cheap as this again until well after Christmas. I had played the demo a few weeks before the actual release, and while the game was good, it didn't look that much different from Fifa 09 which I had only owned for 6 months. With this scepticism, I loaded the game up and began wondering if I had just paid £25 for the same game. First Impressions After sitting through the introduction of Wayne Rooney evading a slide tackle from Frank Lampard, you get to the main menu. Now call my cynical but it appears that Electronic Arts may also think that consumers will have trouble identifying the new features of this game as they have ...

FIFA 10

Advantages: Hours of Play, Smooth Gameplay, Variety
Disadvantages: Commentary, Glitches (See review)

, with one or two new ones. And they say things now and again which are incorrect, for example "They've scored again immediately", when it's only 1-0. You can now hear players communicating now and again, which is a nice feature. The music, which gets played in the menus, is okay this year, but so far no songs really stand out for me. 09's music was better. ~~~Menus~~~ The menus have been tidied up this year. In FIFA 09 I often found myself going through unnecessary repetition of menus to do what I wanted, this has been fixed. As always with FIFA and generally any EA game, the menus and overall look of the game is very professional looking. ~~~Controls~~~ The controls remain virtually unchanged from last year, other than a few minor things that most people wont use anyway. You of course have the option to ...

Review of FIFA 10 (PS3)

Fifa 10 Just Keeps Getting Better

Advantages: Its not Pro Evolution
Disadvantages: None so far

When Fifa 09 was released last year it caused uproars. In my opinion Fifa as always been the best football/soccer game on the planet. Fifa 10 had a mixture of reviews before being released. I can easily say that it?s the best football game I have ever played. Although to the average person Fifa 09 & Fifa 10 look exactly the same I can honestly tell you that they are not. The most noticeable change is the new 360 movement change. Get around players much easier and defend harder but don?t let this get you thinking it?s that easy. Then there is the update to the manager mode. No more Wigan winning the Premiership and the Champions League without spending a penny. The title races are more realistic with other teams like Spurs and Villa threatening to break the top four. No more Arsenal getting relegated after only managing 20 goals in ...
