Advantages Great graphics

Disadvantages Can become extremely easy

Plays on Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP

~Basic Gameplay~

Fifa 2002 is an excellence game with extreme graphics which make you actually feel that you are on pitch-side. The add-ons which make Fifa 2002 look so much better than the other sport games such as This is Football 2002 (although that still is a very good game) is its off-the-ball special effects. You can easily hear the crowds chants, watch as the stewards and camera men adjust positions and flags representing teams being waved about.

But thats enough on the off pitch action, now the on pitch action. Fifa 2002 starts the lauch of the weight of your shots. When a player is within shooting distance you have the ability to weight your shots. You simply hold down 'D' and then a power meter appears at the bottom centre of the screen to show the power of the shot. If the meter reaches the full point then the likly chance that the ball will go over the goal and into the crowd is very high. It takes a bit of time to know exactly the power of shot to put on - but once you get the hang of it then it becomes easy.
This is also the same as pass and long balls across the pitch.

There are 3 levels of playment - Amateur, Professional and World Class. I recommend to start on Amateur but soon you will find it extremely easy and will start moving your way to eventually World Class. After a while you can find playing any team easy and easily beating anyone on World Class.

~Game Modes~

There are several games modes avaliable for your to play. The basic ones are the 'Friendly's' and the 'Multiplayer' modes in which it allows from 1-4 players to play per game. This is where you can play with any team avaliable in the game.
The next is the 'FIFA World Cup Qualification' where there are the same groups as in real life. However if you do manage to qualify for the World Cup you are unable to play the competition because there is another FIFA game made especially for the World Cup 2002.
As in any FIFA football game there are the season and tournaments modes. If you choose to play in a season then you can choose from the many avaliable leagues.
There are many tournaments you can choose from - mainly just the tournaments which English clubs and the England International team takes part in, but also tournaments like Asiian, African and Confederations Cup. You can choose between League Standing tournaments and Knock-out tournaments.
You also have the ability make your own tournaments, seasons, teams and players.

~Rewards~

When you win a tournament set up by FIFA such as the Champions League and UEFA Cup you open up a picture and also maybe a new tournament. Also if you win qualification to the World Cup you open up another picture. Your aim is to collect all pictures and to open all the tournaments possible - if all the pictures are accessed then all secret tournaments will be avaliable to access.

~Overall~

An excellent game but when you have played on it for a long time then it can get extremely easy - even of the 'World Class' mode. Scorelines can even reach up to 10-0 in certain matches if you have gotten used to playing on FIFA 2002 for a long time.

Football games aren't my bag but this sounds like a good game should I ever change my mind!
