Advantages: Great budget game Disadvantages: Boring after a while
I bought Fifa 98 after the owrld cup and it is my favourite football game. After a while I got pretty good at it and i could win any game easily.
I started off playing Brazil. Ronaldo is the ebst player in the game and it can be fun for a hwile running circles round players with him. However that starts to wear after a while. If you want to make the game last I suggest you try playing games betwen strange combinations of teams. For instance, my ...

Advantages: Great addictive fun, good commentry Disadvantages: annoying controls without keypad, easy when you know scoring patterm
I used to own this game on the pc and n64 so i thought i would give a review of the pc version.
As every fifia game up to this one has had it all, gameplay, graphics and addictiveness and that hasnt changed here.
You can [play as club teams or world teams and choose to have a practice game, league, training. The best mode to play in is league for most players due to its more competetive as you try to beat other teams to the top of the table.
The ... ...game, fast paced, full of action and the want to play more. The ai is quite good and at first can become challenging to beat. But once you get the hang of goal scoring you can score a goal basically every minute of the game (which is this games main downside).
The commentry adds a ncie effect to the game, it gives the feel of watching a game live on tv or match of the day.
You can set the weater and pitch type for most games you play, such as rain, ...

Advantages: graphics playability better than all the other FIFA's Disadvantages: you need to get a upgrade to solve the pathetic shot situation
I love this game. The graphics look better than FIFA2000 and it plays better too. You feel more in control of the player and can score brilliant goals. You can do leagues or world cup and there are web sites with patches to udate players and kits. Only one problem that is when you lead the computer about 3-0 the computer will start taking pathetic shots at your goalie like back passes, although there is a patch to correct this. It is also a tab slow ...

Advantages: Good gameplay, range of teams Disadvantages: when computer teams are losing they are very bad
I've got most of the FIFA games, including World Cup 98, this, FIFA 99, FIFA 2000 and Euro 2000, but this surprisingly enough is the best.
Although now it is a bit out of date, the gameplay and graphics (I think) are still the best. It might not be too realistic, but this doesn't matter really, and Euro 2000 was very disappointing.
FIFA RTWC 98 has over 100 international teams, in fact every country who entered the World Cup, and 10 different leagues, ... ...Also, the level difference in FIFA 2000 is too much. Amateur is way too easy for any team, and professional is too easy for a good team, but world class is too difficult for anybody.
FIFA RTWC 98 does have similar problems, but overall it is much more fun to play, because you can actually mess around with the ball a bit without getting tackled.
The soundtrack features some good music from Blur, and the navigation os very quick.
Its great value ...

Advantages: Good skill grading, intuitive controls, even the commentary doesn't get too grating Disadvantages: The new free-kick system isn't as flexible
My only previous experience of EA Sports' football offerings had been a brief dalliance with 'FIFA98 - Road to the World Cup' on the PC, but after hours spent glued to my controller playing FIFA 2000 I can heartily recommend this game.
It has everything you want from a footy game, easily customisable skill levels, which do provide a graded challenge, easing you into the control system at the easiest level before providing you with fast and more inventive opponents at higher levels.
The controls themselves are intuitive and allow you to construct flowing moves with ease, and although there are some pretty foolproof ways of scoring goals, these are not as obvious as in earlier incarnations of the game, and on the higher skill levels the computer seems to react better to your attacks, meaning that your opponents do adapt their ...
Advantages: playable, sound, grapics Disadvantages: similar to others
This is another fantastic game from ea sports.Fifa has continued in its series here to come up with another great football game, for the PC. They have kept all the good things involved in the other fifa games like 99, world cup 98 and road to world cup 98. I bought this game last christmas and bought it as i had already owned the previous titles and was happy with the quality of the games.
It cost my £30 and will probably be cheaper now, so go buy it. It has excellent gameplay and graphics with good qualitly sound, the game will appeal mostly to youngsters interested in football, and this is a really good multiplayer game aswell. So what are you waiting for? GO get it or just wait for Fifa 2001.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...

Advantages: Instant, long-lasting playability Disadvantages: Presentation and graphics have long been surpassed
Nowadays, gamers are spoiled creatures – you can step into the boots of your footballing heroes, play against the best motion-captured opponents, in a realistically-modelled stadium, and perform all manner of tricks and feints with the ball, but for sheer arcade fun, you cannot beat this old favourite. And, much as enjoy playing the latest in the FIFA series from EA Sports, sometimes I do yearn for the simplicity and instant playability of Sensible Soccer, one of the best football games ever produced.
I first came across ‘Sensible Soccer’ when I was still a student. Even back in 1997, I had a PC that was well on the way to being obsolete, and Actua Soccer or FIFA’s Road to World Cup 98 were well beyond the capabilities of that tired old machine. In that respect, I became a ‘Sensi’ convert out ...
