This is becoming a joke! Fifa Street 1 was one of the biggest flops in gaming history, they then went on to improve the game and make it 'better' in Fifa Street 2 and now they've made yet another but this time they have the audacity to make it in a cartoon-like style.
The gameplay feels old and about a decade behind the times, the controls have got more basic which gives you limited options in the game. The amount of tricks has increased but in an unbelievably bad way, for example you can now front flip over defenders and run up walls; it has taken a bad franchise to a new level of unrealism.
The graphics are, put simply, terrible, the cartoon style makes the people look like they are constructed of cuboids and reminds you of games such as Fifa '98 while the environments are undeveloped and lacking imagination.
The game is, once again, very easy. Even though scoring has got harder, 'gamebreakers' are easy to obtain (and could potentially go on for minutes because they don't end when you score, so it is feasible to score atleast 3 goals with minimal effort) and skills are even easier to execute.
The range of teams and players has increased but really adds nothing to the overall experience of the game. There is a wider variety of game modes but all are similar, unoriginal and typically generic.
Online play adds to the life of the game but it is obvious that this will quickly get boring as there is limited game modes and repeating the same thing over and over will get stale within weeks of purchase.
I wouldn't advise that anyone should purchase this game as i feel you will be let down severely. It really is another game that isn't even fit for the ps2 let alone a so called next-gen console however, if you really want to get it I would strongly suggest that you rent it first to avoid wasting a hefty £40. Overall- 4/10
Advantages: Nice online Disadvantages: Not for football fans
Very much like Fifa Street 2.
That is basically the complete review for this. Although it obviously has some new skills, players and teams the gameplay still feels like the first and the graphics havent improved much if not at all.
Also the game still gives a very arcadey feel and i still feel as with other editions of this game the only real way to get much gameplay and fun is to be playing it with either another person or online.
Online is actually ... ...and its actually worth having a look at this.
This game is not for football fans. It is more for hardcore gamers or just social football fans as any true fan will not find this to their taste.
For those people i recommend Pro 2008.
