The other advantage of this system is that you can still use the boot of your car, because the unit is all in one enclosure ... ...is remove 3 cables with fork fittings and the two phono cables and then it can be lifted out of the boot. The Dimensions of this unit are 500(L) x 350(W) x 380(H)mm which is not huge and the unit does not weigh a huge amount and can easily be lifted in and out with out any problem. This unit has a RMS Output power of 300 Watts and a Peak Output 0f 1000 Watts, this is very powerful as when used in conjunction with my Alpine CDE-9850Ri Head Unit I ... more

The unit should come with the wiring kit included. The average price for the unit is around £100. All your head unit needs to run it is a pre out connection which is just two phono sockets in the back of your head unit. Very easy to wire in and get working. This is a very good unit and i am very pleased with it. I would definitely recommend it.

Quick review of FLI 12" Active Subwoofer BASS BOX PC4-2
i recently went in halfords to have a look at subs and came across the sub from this enclosure it was on the wall and wired up to the same amp as included in this package. i turned the bass up halfway and only got to 1/4 of the volume on the head unit before i had to stop as the wall it was fixed to was shaking violently. it's a budget sub with incredible performance a must have for anybody wanting to upgrade their soundsystem. ...

Advantages: Reasonable-ish value and very nice design Disadvantages: Simply doesn't sound deep or loud enough
I bought a Fli Active 12 online for about £70 a while ago, and was dissapointed with this sub.
I should point out it is the mark two, ported version, and I think there has since been a more recent version since.
In comparison I also have a very cheap looking 12" sub with a cheap, less powerful amp but much bigger enclosure and this sounds much better than the Fli sub I am sad to say (both louder and deeper). I can only assume this is the enclosure ... ...one (typically 4ohm).
The Fli sub won't produce very deep bass and will not go loud enough to sound good on the move (at least not in a noisy older car like mine). It also has a nasty habit of distorting very obviously when pushed hard.
On the plus side I do think the styling is great, it is fairly punchy sounding (if a little boomy for my tastes) and of course being active it's relatively easy to set up and install.

The FLI range is made by well known VIBE technologies and is aimed at the buyers who simply require a quick to install, easy to maintain and basic sound level while in the car.
For the money you will certainly be happy with the results but within a few months I would feel you will want to upgrade to a higher model of sub woofer for a lot lot better sound quality set up. If you require cheap bass notes to finish off a ...
