    Advantages Advantages Its brilliant..

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some quests are a little boring..

Its only when you save up for things and work really hard for something I think you really begin to appreciate what you have worked for.. That includes one of my most recent purchases.. My Xbox 360 Elite.. Oh yes I had to buy the most expensive one with the biggest memory etc.. (Review coming soon I would imagine!!) So I got this game as part of the package with my Xbox there was a choice but I knew I wanted to play this.. At least after all the times on of my friends had played it on her boyfriends Xbox and was telling me how amazing it was! At the same time I also got Fallout 3 included in ... more

Advantages Advantages It's a game, and you play it to give you pleasure

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's a game, so it will take up your life

Oh my goodness... a sequel that doesn't suck sliced lemons. This is a game that would be either revered as an awesome demi-god of action RPGs, or be reviled like a pile of cow pat diarrhoea melting in the hot sun. Luckily for me (and you) I like this game, therefore I am here to review this game and reveal to you why I enjoy this game so very much. I won't lie to you. I love RPG games, especially those with a great, amazing and epically well written 'oh no here comes another apocalypse!' plot. When the plot thickens, it is a lovely thick beef stew, with dried mushrooms. Simply delicious. As a ... more

    Advantages Advantages Occassionally charming Action-RPG

Disadvantages Disadvantages Implodes under the weight of its own ambition

Peter Molyneux and his Lionhead Studios had a point to prove with this sequel, as the whole 'choose your own destiny' virtual life shtick of the original Fable didn't seem to wash with either the gaming press or players, who found the whole experience not unpleasant but somewhat more shallow and superficial than suggested. Lionhead have kindly spared all these critics a job though, as to accurately summarise Fable 2 is to click 'Edit', suffix '2' to the title and click 'Publish' - as 'somewhat more shallow and superficial than suggested' is the phrase which readily springs to mind when summing ... more

4 Stars A Fable worth experiencing Review with images 13/11/2008

Advantages Advantages Very friendly, open to anyone, lengthy and thought-provoking once or twice

Disadvantages Disadvantages Loading times, clunky menus, a lot of the gameplay might get old quickly

Enthusiastic producer Peter Molyneux brings us the sequel to one of the premier RPGs on the original Xbox, Fable. Despite having a lot of merits, Fable was unceremoniously crushed under the weight of expectation, victim of its own ambition: talking up a myriad of features, only to axe them one by one as release drew nearer. Four years and one hardware generation later, Fable II promises the stars again; does it deliver? ***The Story*** I always found "Fable" to be one of the most aptly named games ever, with its storyline being exactly what I picture when I think of the word: A medieval ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks great, sounds great, quite fun

Disadvantages Disadvantages Nowhere near as good as it pretends to be

Fable 2 is a fantasy role-playing game for the Xbox 360. I never played Fable 1 – I’d never even heard of it – but this was on special offer on amazon and one of my friends said it was good. I’ve been looking for a successor to Baldur’s Gate 2 for years now, and hoped this might be the one. It’s not. The idea seems to have been to give the player a fairly non-linear gaming experience, with plenty of things to do and explore that aren’t related to the main storyline. While it does do that, kind of, there’s nowhere near enough extra stuff to keep one occupied for that long. Yes, you can get ... more
