    Advantages Advantages it's an enjoyable romp

    I will admit that this sounded just a little corny, take all those kiddy fairytales and see what they'd be like if relocated to modern day New York. But it grew on me, and eventually i gave in and bought a copy. I'm not going to say that there aren't better ways to spend the money, but Fables is a nice piece of work. Indeed the word nice, is one i'm probably going to be using a lot. This isn't a stunning achievement, but its a workmanlike effort, and as the first in the series probably deserves a bit of slack. Even the Sandman series (which I adore) didn't get off to a brillant start, so a ... more
