Fabric Magic Tumble Dryer Sheets

I need to explain that the product that nearly blew my new tumble dryer up, is not Fabric Magic Tumble Dryer sheets. It is Tesco Summer Fresh Tumble Dryer Sheets. They are the Tesco equivalent of Bounce Tumble Dryer Sheets.

They are boxed in a pale blue 5"x3" box showing cream coloured daisies with green centres on the front of the box. The word Tesco is to the centre left hand side in white letters, and Summer Fresh is written at an angle under the word Tesco. Under Summer Fresh is written 40 Tumble Dryer Sheets also in white lettering.

On the back of the slim box are various information sections:-
Section 1. this reads :- Tesco easy iron tumble dryer sheets help reduce the number of creases making ironing easier even on problem items such as cotton. Other benefits include improved softness and reduce static cling.

What a fantastic product I can hear you say, but read on please.

2. Directions For Use:- Load dryer. Place one sheet per load in dryer. Dry clothes as usual. Do not re-use sheet. Always dry synthetics on a low heat. Excessive heat or overloading can cause greasy spots to appear. These can be easily removed with soap, soaking the garment and re-washing as normal. Always follow appliance manufacturers instructions.

Nothing out of the ordinary so far, so we will continue down the information.

3. WARNING. This is written on an orange band to bring ones attention to various matters.
Keep out of reach of children. (I dont have any, only big ones)
~After use, wash hands and dry thoroughly.
~People with sensitive or damaged skin should avoid prolonged contact with the product.
~Not to be used on childrens sleepwear or any garment labelled as flame resistant as it may reduce the effectiveness of the flame resistance.
~ Avoid contact with eyes.
~If this should occur, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
~ seek medical advice if irritation persists.

4. Product Information.
Tesco Tumble dryer sheets contain amongst other ingredients:

Cationic Surfactant ..................................... 30% or more
Non-ionic Surfactant perfume .................. 5-15%
Benzyl Salicylate 2-(4-terbutylbenzyl) ....... Less than 5%

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND COST.

White rectangles of transparent gauze like material measuring 7"x5" that smell divine. They are perfumed with a delicate floral bouquet of summer flowers,mingled with an expensive quality perfume.

COST.

I bought these when they were on offer at £1.49 and I believe they are normally £1.99.

PROBLEMS THAT CAN OCCUR !!!

These little sweet smelling trouble makers, can clog up the water outlet in your tumble dryer causing the water to find another alternative outlet(in my case it was out of the bottom of the dryer) and soaking your floor.

My Hoover repair man returned the tumble dryer today along with 4 Tumble Dryer sheets. Luckily there was not a bill as the dryer was still under warranty, but I will not be buying Tumble Dryer Sheets again.
