Although the contents of the tube are rather firm, I find putting a little of the skin refiner on one palm and using a finger to smooth on the face does the trick. Only a small squeeze is needed but the effect is quite dramatic. I love the warming sensation and the fact that the refiner is smooth and easy to apply (unlike some exfoliants that are rough and difficult to apply).
