Whilst I'm one of the palest people around, it is strangely difficult to find even a range of skin tints with sufficient choice of shades. Trying to go with anything other than the ivory/pale colour option often meant that I'd be saddled with looking even more ghost-like than necessary. Anything darker ...
...so it does occur to me that on drier skins, the matt look may look a little extreme. Fundamentally, if you're looking for something with heavier coverage or an alternative finish type, then you would probably be wiser selecting an alternative Prescriptives foundation designed for that kind of job. ...

Is prescriptives as good as it claims?

Advantages: smooth and looks good
Disadvantages: may not actually be 'perfect match'

I use prescriptives foundation and have done for years. I've got used to it. However, a few years after using my 'perfect match' colour, I was informed that the colour had been discontinued. The salesgirl offered me another. Now, you don't need to have a PhD in make-up colouring to realise that if the first colour was my perfect match, then another colour cannot be. Either prescriptives are telling porkies or the colours are not actually that precise. ...
...It's good make-up and it lasts a long time. But for colour matching, I think it's possible that other brands may be just as good. What's different about prescriptives is that the sales girl gives advice, so you feel more confident that you've got the right colour. ...

Review of Prescriptives Virtual Skin foundation

I now have the skin of a star

Advantages: Hides wrinkles, pores and gives a fresh dewy look
Disadvantages: Hard to get, usually have to buy online

I first bought this product in America a few years back. Knew nothing about it at the time, thinking it was another 'gimmick' I had fallin for. The box was plain silver with a star on it, glitzy and cheap looking. Anyway, it was'nt till I got home that I realised how FANTASTIC this powder was. It comes with a small brush on the lid (but TBH, its not great for applying with, I use a bigger brush), and in a clear tub. I dont have the best skin in ...

I shook the powder out through the wee holes, dabbed my brush in it and proceeded to gently put it on..The feeling was AMAZING, cold, wet, yet dry??? Flawless Complexion without having Perfect Skin

Advantages: Perfect Coverage and Colour

Prescriptives Flawless Skin Total Protection Concealer my review

Advantages: Long wearing, protective, moisturising, silky blendable
Disadvantages: Make sure you really take your time to find the perfect shade

...this up while browsing the Prescriptives counter after being attracted by the wide range of shades this concealer was available in, i thought itd make a nice supplement to my foundation and when i tried a little bit on there and then i loved how the silky soft cream really disappeared into my skin, perfecting it, i was sold.
