Slap It On! Advantages: Good price Disadvantages: Not that effective ...face mask, so I chose Mudd as it was reasonably priced, and medicated as I am prone to breakouts of spots. Mudd is a clay based mask so I expected it to be like your typical mask - like wet clay. So I was rather surprised to find that when I squeezed it out of the tube it looked incredibly, well, synthetic somehow - more the texture of a thick hair conditioner. I was under no illusions that it was a natural product but it was still a bit of a surprise. ... ...is quite reasonable price-wise. Mudd is available from most pharmacies in sachets and tubes. Mudd comes in several other types (none of which I have tried) - Peel Off - Non drying, vitamin enriched and supposedly leaves skin looking younger. Sensitive - Speaks for itself really. Bliss Oxygen Mask.......for a quick "pick me up" and a fresh face Advantages: Yummy,fluffy and gives you super soft,sexy and glowing skin in 5 minutes! Disadvantages: apart from the price....nothing!.....save up!!!! Well!!! Yummy is how it smells.......this mask is a "pure delight" to apply and smells like a "cocktail of vitamins" including Vitamin C which brightens and clears the skin! I tried a sample of theis mask last year and finally decided to go for the full size when i was shopping in Harrods last weekend. At £39 for 100ml it's not cheap......but if your looking for something that you can put on and get results in just 5 minutes..........then this ... ...a soft peach in colour and you apply it to clean but slighty moist skin(so again great if your stepping out of the shower)........once you apply(always upwards and outwards avoiding the eye area).........the soft peach liquid transforms into a fluffy white foam all over the face delivering "oxygen and vitamins" into your skin. Dermalogica Skin Refining Mask Advantages: does what it says on the tin Disadvantages: more expensive than regular skin care This is a clay-based mask for oily/combination skin. Works really well if you wanna deep-cleanse the skin a couple of times a week. The mask itself has a greenish-blue colour to it and doesn't have a strong smell. Dries in about 15 minutes. I usually put it on before I'm about to have a shower because I found it a bit difficult to wash off over the sink. I wouldn't recommend it to people with dry skin, cos I noticed that it tends to matify my oily ... ...with spots or acne so don't really know whether it would help with those. However if I don't take the make-up off thoroughly, the next morning I'll find one or two spots. This mask seems to clear them out in a couple of days. Ingredients listed include Kaolin and Bentonite clays, Zinc Oxide, botanical extracts of Mallow, Amica and Cucumber as well as Watercress and Lemon. Poor performance from this Pore-refining mask. Advantages: Has lots of natural ingredients. Disadvantages: Expensive, hard to find and not good on sensitive skin. ...Mask. THE COMPANY: Burt's Bees are toiletries and cosmetics company based in the USA which use natural ingredients in their products as much as possible. They are a non-corporate company which is earth-friendly and eco/environmentally friendly. They are most renowned for their infamous lip balms. Burt was actually a real individual himself (in fact I believe he's still alive) who was a bee keeper who harvested his own honey who began the company ... ...such as Fenwicks do sell Burt's Bees products, and if memory serves me right this is one of the Burt’s Bees products that Fenwicks do now stock. Of course if you live in the USA or happen to have friends/relatives that would happily send you some, then you won't have a problem. If not, then you'll have to do some internet shopping!
