Let me tell you some Home Truths.

Advantages: John Peel's laconic voice, It's repeated later in the week.
Disadvantages: Have to wait a whole week for more.

...show on Radio 4 called Home Truths. I assume Mr Peel was offered this show as a direct result of his very funny columns that have appeared over the years in the Radio Times, in which he discusses his family, their viewing habits and, well everything really. Nothing seems to be sacred. I'm sure had he been my father, I would have disowned him years ago for telling the world every little thing that I did as I was growing up. Actually there is virtually ...
...him. I digress. Home Truths is a radio show where members of the public write in, phone in, fax in - and of course in this day and age, e-mail in and relate things that have happened to them and their families. All linked beautifully by John's wonderful dryly humourous, but terrifically empathetic voice. I have often been reduced to tears by this programme. Firstly of the laughter kind when listening to the fantastic tales of obsessed fathers who ...

...Woman's Hour - Radio Four - Beware The Blue Moon! I don't know about you but, even though I am not a "NewAgey", when I hear fascinating items including stories about pre-history, I can't help wishing I could go back in time to be a fly-on-the-wall and find the truth about the ways in which ancient people lived. When I feel irritated that I don't know, I write !! and make it up! This is a piece I couldn't help writing after completing this review ...

Hes a wonder even at '50'!

Advantages: Out of this world music...an example for newcommers to the industry to follow.
Disadvantages: None,excellent music,excellent tallent,excellent value for money.

If you knew me better, you would know that I'm a huge Stevie Wonder fan. My father would play Stevie in the early mornings, so you could say I used to wake up to Stevie. What I really loved when I was younger was the fast, catchy songs. Everyone knows the popular stuff. But as I became older, I enjoyed his ballads and his non-commercialized stuff a lot more. This album has everything from his radio friendly songs, to his ballads, to his hard to find ...
...him do. And one more thing about this album; it's a double album which means more of Stevie. The first disc really packs a punch and is my favorite of the two discs. The first song is Dancing to the Rhythm and it's a really great start to the album. Stevie brings great energy to the song and the hook is awesome. The second song is a little slower, but it's a beautiful song called Love's in Need of Love Today. I've learned to enjoy both of these ...

Review of Assignment (BBC World Service)

Well researched

Advantages: Relevant
Disadvantages: None

Analysis is a as the title suggests a programme that is able to look in more detail at the sorts of issues that crop up in the news. It is well researched and presented in a well-organised fashion. Recent programmes have looked at the concerns over GM foods, changes to the judicial system and the privatised electricity market. It is ideal to listen to while cooking (like a lot of Radio Four) and if you get too absorbed in stirring a saucepan then ...
