Fairy Washing Up Liquid Lemon

When it comes to washing up liquid I just tend to choose something that has a good offer on or whatever is cheapest at the time as I don’t believe generally there is a huge difference between the brands and I think this is one item where you really do pay a little extra for the brand name rather than the quality of the product itself.

If I have to send my partner shopping though it is a different story as he is a ‘brand name’ sort of man and will purchase brands such as Fairy just because that is the most expensive and the better known brand so last time he went shopping with washing up liquid on his list he came back with Fairy Liquid Lemon Flavour.

As I didn’t purchase this myself I have just looked up the price on the Tesco’s website and the current price for the bottle size he brought (870ml) was £2.00 which I didn’t think was too bad actually. Looking at Tescos website, there are smaller bottle sizes if required.

The one thing I am guilty of when washing up is not wearing gloves as often as I should which often results in me experiencing dry skin on my hands from the harshness of some washing up liquids. I have seen the Fairy adverts which claim their products are ‘kind to hands’ but didn’t really take much notice.

This is where Fairy really came into its own in my opinion. I washed up again with no gloves on and although my hands felt a little dry after using this, they were nowhere near as dry as they were when using lesser brands.

I have used Fairy original before and found the same thing but you have the added bonus of the Lemon fragrance with this one and again, it does show the quality of this washing up liquid. Even after washing and drying, I could still smell the lemon fragrance on my plate etc which was quite nice. They really were squeaky clean too just like the advert said they would be. Some cheaper washing up liquids can clean well but my plates etc look quite dull whereas with this washing up liquid, they do look really clean and shiny.

I feel like my kitchen items have had a really good, thorough clean with this washing up liquid and I believe that is mainly down to the way the liquid bubbles up. The liquid produces a really lovely smooth lather which is great. If I have a couple of items with some really stubborn marks on, I simply have to leave it to soak in the bubbles for a couple of minutes and the dirt/grease rubs off with ease.

Overall, I have to admit that although this is one of the most expensive brands of washing up liquids on the market, its quality can’t be matched in my opinion. It is definitely kinder to my hands than others I have used and it does give a fantastic clean and my kitchenware is left looking clean and shiny. There aren’t really any negative points with regards to this washing up liquid and therefore it comes with a high recommendation from me.
