Advantages: Streak-free, nice colour - not orange Disadvantages: Time consuming, needs to be reapplied for darker colour
I've always been happy using my usual L'Oreal tan, but since coming onto Ciao I have become curious aboutFakeBake, after reading a few positive and negative reviews I decided to buy it and see for myself. I was shocked to find it is sold for around £25 for a 170ml bottle. But I had a search on the internet and found it at cheapest for £15 from an online tanning shop which is doing an offer.

The tan comes in a dark brown bottle with gold writing. The bottle is nice but not as exciting looking as I expected from an expensive brand. There is a detailed explanation on the back of the bottle on how to use the tan. It advises you to exfoliate and moisturise right before using the tan, to always use gloves when applying, then to allow it to dry for 20 minutes before dressing or going to bed. Advantages: gorgeous colour, easy to apply, lasts ages, even tanning Disadvantages: quite expensive, colours sheets
I am one of those people who hates the fact that I live in a cold and gloomy place (Scotland) I love to be tanned but I have heard so many scary stories about using tanning beds that I avoid them at all costs!
This means that my only options for getting a tan are to go on holiday (not so practical!) or to use fake tan. However I have had far too many experiences where I turn a glowing orange/yellow as opposed to a sun kissed brown.
I tried fakebake because I decided I wanted to try something a little bit more expensive than my previous fake tans. I hadn't really heard a lot about it but when I tested a variety of the fake tans on offer in Harvey Nichols fakebake seemed to be the one that suited me the best.
I first tried the fakebake airbrush tan which I think was around £25. Although it did give a beautifully genuine looking ...
FakeBake is just one of many fake tans i use and have tried, it is very very easy to apply as it goes onto the skin with a tint of brown unlike some fake tans which go on your skin with no colour at all. this fake tan comes in the foam the spray or the cream, i found that the foam worked best for my skin and there was also a seperate face foam which is alot less tanning than the body foam. this fake tan goes on very easily and dries quickly but you will find with fakebake that if you bend your arms whithin ten minutes of applying you will get really white arms in the centre. from realising this i always applied the fakebake to my arms lastly. i hope this helps this is worth the money. Fakebake is really natural not to orange like most tans smells nice to. you should see the tans best look 24hours after applied jump in the shower ...
