I wouldn't want to put anyone off self tanning, however if you intend to apply self tanner, I would not recommend Fake Bake lotion. I had my 2nd high school prom, (with my first i went to a salon and got St Tropez applied) but due to a lack of spare time, I decided to buy fake bake which had been recommended by a friend and apply by myself. I do not propose to be the greatest beautician in the world but after exfoliating, moisturising and applying my tan, i went to bed to have dreams of a natural glowing tan...what i found the following morning though, was not.
I woke up and jumped in the shower, after rinsing all of the residue from my body I felt quite dark but thought it was just me. When i looked in the mirror, AAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!! I
I thought it was an oompa loompa staring back complete with streaky orange hands and feet!!!!! The tan on my legs and mainstream body was perfectly even however very orange and extremely fake looking.
I know i have not gone into much detail here but I would not recommend fake bake to inexperienced fake tan users. As i sit here, i have my st tropez on..tomorrow is a new day and i will no doubt be reviewing the tan. I live in hope that i do not have the same experience with fake tan twice!!!!

Don't talk to me about fake tans! Through experience I can only say, always buy stuff that's coloured so you can see where you've applied it. Otherwise it's streak city.
