--------------- | Back Story | --------------- As someone who never tans - just burns (due to my fair skin, I have used a lot of various fake tans over the years (having resorted to the highest SPF factor I can find).
I was browsing the internet one day and came across a site for Fake Bake, it sounded worth a try so I went to my trusty hair and beauty site (http://www.salonlines.co.uk) and they had it as always at a great price and next day delivery. (Please see my previous posts on Salonlines - They have every hair and beauty product you ever want at cheaper prices! - I love that website).
------------------------------ | So What is Fake Bake? | ------------------------------
Very simply put Fake Bake is a range of sunless tanning products. These products are recommended by dermatologists. The Secret is a combination of a special blend of fruit-acids with a dihydroxy-complex that creates this natural tanning lotion. It is not tested on animals as it contains no harmful ingredients that would require extensive animal testing (Great!) .
--------------- | Application | --------------- Before doing anything make sure that you are wearing gloves. These are provided, but your should be able to get suitable gloves from pretty much anywhere.
You must also wash, exfoliate, and moisturise beforehand (Day before is best - moisturise really really well), like with all other self tanning products, if you want to achieve the best results.
I tend to begin applying mine after a shower, again moisturising well. Once you are dry, begin applying the lotion, covering all areas (this is essential as it is hard to tell when is properly covered). On areas that you want a little lighter like your face, apply mixed with a moistuiser to dilute the lotion.
I always leave the cream about 15 minutes before getting into my nightwear. Sleep and then in the morning shower - Ta Da!
-------------- | Positives? | -------------- 1) Not tested on animals. 2) Great tan 3) Pretty easy to use 4) Even colour 5) Very natural looking
---------------- | Negatives? | ---------------- 1) Fake bake products do no contain sun protection and so there is the added hassle of coating yourself in sun lotion whenever you are out in the sun. 2) Can be messy. 3) The prep work (as with all fake tans to get it right you have to prepare your skin properly).
