Hi Everyone,
I am new to Ciao and since i have purchased such a vast amount of things...mainly cosmetics and perfumes! (girly girly) that i should start writing some reviews and perhaps save others some of the cash i have wasted! Christine x

I would like to start by telling everyone that i personally have used at least every tanning product in my local chemist! Also this is my first ever review..so please go easy on me! :)
I First noticed fake bake a few months ago and decided to do an internet search on it, Of course being easily swayed by the mention of fake bake having a few celebrity fans who apparently swear by it, i decided to give it a go. The bottle itself is brown in colour and is a lot less garish compared to some fake tan bottle /spray packaging i have seen, which i must admit gave me some confidence! It has a gold stencilled image of a woman on the front and the fake bake logo. For your money ( i paid £25.00 at my local salon) you will get 170ml of product i found this to be quite a generous amount.
I had high hopes for this product and once i had read the instructions and exfoliated and moisturized and was equipped with my plastic gloves, i opened the bottle. The first thing that hit me was the strong over powering smell, i can not think of any way to describe it other than unpleasant! The texture of this lotion was thick and gloppy i was not looking forward to this tanning job.
When i started to apply the lotion i noticed that it was very hard to spread evenly and seemed to stick to certain areas of my legs and body even though i had thoroughly carried out the preparation. I ended up calling in a helping hand and once they had donned their gloves they attempted to help. Needless to say i ended up in a complete streaky mess.
I was hoping that by morning time and after showering of the excess product i would look some what more acceptable. When i did get the colour guide washed off i was left with what i thought was a very unnatural colour, verging on a black/green tinge.I also had various pasty white patches, where the tan had not "taken" to my skin. It looked utterly fake and i had got a more even tan and colour from the 99p tan wipes in the chemist! I feel this product may well suit celebs who have a team to help them out , or maybe the more experienced fake tanner, but take my advice do not risk fake bake! The consistency of the tan is just one of the things that make it incredibly hard to use! My advice is save your money when it comes to this product.
