After using tonnes of high-street fake tans I was very apprehensive about trying Fake Bake but decided to give it a go. The first time I purchased Fake Bake was from www.lookfantastic.co.uk and was in a set which included Fake Bake original lotion, body scrub and body oil and I was left with not much change from £50.00!! I thought it must be something special at that sort of price.
I followed the instructions that came with it and started off by using the body polish all-over in the shower. The Body Polish is great it smells great too, it doesn't take long to apply and makes your skin feel and smell gorgeous.
I then followed this busy using Fake Bake Body Oil, which as smells great. The oil is sprayed on whilst the skin is still wet and rubbed in gently. I then towel tried my skin and prepared myself for the fake tan.
I used the latex gloves and was plesently suprised by how easy it was to apply. Fake bake has what they call a Colour Guide, it comes out the tube a very dark brown almost black colour so you can see exactly where you've missed. I had no trouble covering all over appart from a tiny patch in the centre of my back which my boyfriend has to give me a hand with.
Once the tan was applied all-over I went to bed with a fairy even colour all-over. The Colour Guide can be slightly missleading as it is very dark but when I came out the shower the next moring I was left with a golden brown and gorgeous looking tan.
Overall, the first time you use Fake Bake can be tricky but practice makes perfect and the more you use it the easy it gets. I couldn't live without my Fake Bake now and us it weekly (I usually apply it every Friday Night ready for a Saturday night on the town). The initial intense ness of the colour lasts around 2-3 days but you're still left looked healthily bronzed all week. I also use Fake Bake original on my face as well, it says not too on the bottle but I've never had any problems.
I would definitely recommend Fake Bake as all my friend us it too, and even if it's not for you its definitely worth a try.
