Advantages: Funny, original script writers actors Disadvantages: basic gaming, only for fans of the show
...have been aware that this family guy video game was due for release for some time but I certainly had a few doubts regarding whether it would be worth buying or not. I am a massive family guy fan, got all the episodes on DVD, but that does not mean that the game would be good just because it has "Family guy" written on the box. Game designers have produced many other cartoon inspired games previously including south park (N64), Futurama (Ps2) and ... ...impressive. So what about the family guy one.
The game itself should probably be considered more of an "interactive" episode and I really dont want to reveal any of the plot here to spoil it for anybody. The gamer gets the chance to play as either peter (the homer simpson stlye dad), Brian (the talking dog) or stewie (the baby that wants to the rule and kill his mother) All I will say is it is a typical family guy style of story and even the parts ...

Advantages: Not much, maybe the voices as they're good for the odd one-liner. Disadvantages: Lots, gameplay is poor and the game is pretty boring.
I love Family Guy, it's one of the freshest funniest TV shows around now, especially since the Simspons refuses to be humorous. But this game fails to deliver. Die hard fans may enjoy it as it's voiced by all the original characters and does go for the humour vote. But the gameplay is rotten. The game is split into three different games, You get to play one part with Peter, One with Stewie and one with Brian. Stewie's missions are the game's most ... ...gun to dispatch foes, but in some cases you'll use his mind control ray to take over another character and use them as a distraction of some sort. Brian's missions are old fashioned and quite stealthy. Instead of having characters randomly patrol areas, they follow very strict paths and work in patterns. Peters so called "action" games are extremely mundane and boring. It's ok for a giggle I suppose but in all honesty this is a really bad game. A ...

Advantages: Hilarious jokes from the show. Action packed. Disadvantages: requires patience on some tricky parts.
...Available now on PSP, Xbox and PS2, FamilyGuy the game makes you laugh hard 'til you squirt milk from your nose....
....then it makes you frustrated.
Don't get me wrong it's fairly enjoyable and I love FamilyGuy. Yet there seems to be too many spots where you get stuck in the same area for a few hours trying to sneak past other characters as Brian or master a button bashing technique with Peter. This is forgivable though as the comical element of this title brings nostalgic praise to followers of the series' high times.
Graphics:
On the visual aspect of the title in question, the graphics are quite pleasant to look at, opting for the cartoon animation and a similar colour palette as used on the TV show. Graphics are on par with most PS2 classics yet it retains some of Seth MacFarlane's drawing techniques rendered into the game's 3D...

Advantages: Great graphics and neat touches Disadvantages: Short lived
...Silent Scope is essentially a very simple game - rescue the President and his family by killing a few bad guys. But it's been spiced up to PS2 standards to make it one of the most gorgeous games to look at. Silent Scope was originally a coin-op with a ruddy great plastic sniper rifle attachment. Unfortunately, the PS2 version is minus the gun but it's essentially the same. The trouble is, like with a lot of coin-ops, it's a little shallow.
The game in itself is greatly presented and easy to get into, but it ain't easy. The thing is, there isn't much of the Story Mode, so they had to make it hard to stop you completing it straight away. For a compensation though, they have put in an immense amount of training bits to keep you playing. Although even that is solid to get through.
The graphics are beautiful and smooth and the animation...
