Advantages They look lovely and cute
Disadvantages They are better from far away
I love to dress up my pretty, little back garden with ornaments and I have a large collection. I don’t put them out the front because even my pots and plants get stolen there and I’d have to nail them to the ground but they are quite safe out the back. I have a little collection of Meerkat ornaments which I really love and they always bring a little smile to my face.
I have a little Meerkat family which is a mummy, a daddy and a baby Meerkat. I think you are supposed to put them all together but I have spread mine all around the garden and mixed them in with my gnomes because it just seemed far more sociable. My daddy Meerkat is about 14” high and he is standing up tall and straight and I have him underneath my miniature apple tree. My mummy Meerkat is sitting down, or crouching and she is just as wide but is about 10 inches high and baby Meerkat is next to my tin man and pot-man ornaments and he is very tiny at about 7 “ high.
They are all lovely but they look better from further away because the painting on them is not all that good and they look like I didn’t pay very much money for them when in fact I paid £20 for the set from the garden centre when my daughter took me. I still like them though and I have placed them so they surprise people because I want to make it look like they are peeping out and looking at people in my garden. They are made from resin and they are very light and they are so light they do blow over when it gets very windy. They have not yet got chipped however, so they must be more hardwearing than they look. They have also been fine in the bitter cold and wintry frosts and haven’t cracked as I thought they might have done. They do look quite real I think and they make me chuckle when I was up and look out of the window.
They are lovely and I recommend them to you.Sorry there will be 2 idental photos as I cannot get one to stay up by itself
