Advantages: Excellent graphics, Vast game choice, Great online capabilities, Loads of extra features Disadvantages: Quite Expensive?!
The step up from the likes of the PS2 and XBox to the XBox 360 was absolutely massive. The graphical improvement is huge, and the consoles capabilities have mean that vast in game worlds have been created. Not only has this next level of gaming technology meant that players experience better graphics, smoother gameplay and more more readily available online play, but it has enabled game developers to up the quality of their games, with far larger, far more realistic and far more interactive environments than were seen on any previous consoles. The console, although expensive, is still not nearly in the same price range of the PS3, which doesnt really boast any kind of enhanced features for the higher price tag. Advantages: Amazing multiplayer and in depth campaign Disadvantages: Some minor graphics engine slow down
Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has been voted by many as "one of the best first person shooters ever released on any console". A tough quote to live up to when i picked this game up a few weeks after it was released during November 2007. The events and conflicts of the game are seen from several perspectives including the witty banter of an American Marine and a great interpretation of a British Commando. Locations featured in this title include Russia ...
Advantages: Brilliant, varied gameplay with long lasting appeal Disadvantages: Some odd glitches but nothing to detract from the experience
and varied to stop things getting repetitive. There are also some excellent multiplayer modes available to Xbox Live users which enhance the overall package, and although some of them are a little weak, they are all very custamisable and can be tweaked to just the way you like.
With a game of this nature the gameplay is the most important thing, and this title certainly doesn't disappoint, however the graphics and sound deserve a mention as they bring their own plus points in their own way. While not an immediately stunning game in the same way that say, Call Of Duty 4 is, it has its own specific feel, and the city has quite a gritty look to it, enhancing the realistic slant the game is aiming for. The lighting is very well done and special mention must go to the always changing weather effects, the rain storms in particular are very well ...
