Angela Carter's book of fairytales is an interesting mix of stories from around the globe including Europe, Africa, Asia, and America and provides an interesting insight into the social systems or beliefs of the times. However these are not the happily ever after children's versions that we are may be more used to, but tales with a much darker side. Advantages: Well Written, Empathetic characters, Epic storyline
Disadvantages: Long, slow build up

This book easily ranks among the greatest fantasy books of all time, and as a testiment to this, I have already read this book at least five times already, with plans to do so again in the not to distant future. The easy writing style used by Raymond E. Feist not only transports you into the twin worlds of Kelewan and Midkemia, but grabs and maintains your interest throughout what is an epic story. Advantages: Lots of twist and turns, very clever.
Disadvantages: Harry just cant keep on winning

...but i think that fact harry just keeps on winning against voldemort is a little unbelievable, as voldemort is a very advanced wizard, but then again it is a book about wizards, how believable can it be. I thought the wrighting was fantastic and it was very cleverly done! I also think the books are so good that i could start over and read them all again!
