One of the best books you can possibly read.
Review of The Novice - Trudi Canavan by darkscott8

Advantages: Action packed-filled with excitement.
Disadvantages: Not long enough

...follows on very nicely from the first book in the series. It is one of those books that if you start reading, you cannot put down, and it is definately worth the read. Trudi Canavan takes you on an adventure with her writing, and makes it a "must read". One of the only bad points is that it leaves you on a huge cliff hanger, and if you do not have the last book in the series ready for reading straight afterwards, then you will probably die in suspense. ...
...the moment , is that in some way, it semed a bit short, but I think that this is mainly due to the fact that I did not want to stop reading it. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading fantasies, and especially to people who enjoy reading books like Harry Potter and Pendragon. Now for the book itself. It follows on from the story of the last book where Sonea was found by the guild and was taken there. It is basically about the struggle that she ... Read review

Superb Read!
Review of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - J.K. Rowling by Haxrskilz

Advantages: Great plot line, great characters.
Disadvantages: Some adults may not be interested in the earlier books in the series.

...have read, and re-read the Harry Potter series on numerous occasions, enjoying as much as I did the first time I read any of the books. The excitement of being revealed into a new world of magic alongside the young Harry Potter extends ten-fold when action and drama is thrown into the scene in the form of Lord Voldemort, Harry's soon-to-be enemy, and it will drive any reader mad not to read the entire series after-wards. A positively thrilling read ... Read review

My wardrobe seems boring now...
Review of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - C.S. Lewis by Amy69

Advantages: strong desctipitive language, suitable for all, easy to connect with, unique style
Disadvantages: /

When Narnia was released in the cinema last year, I was asked if I wanted to go and see it. And did I accept this invite? No! At that time, all I knew about the film was that it was fantasty-based, and seemed a bit 'kiddish' (though why this was a problem, I have no idea - it doesn't usually stop me!). So I missed my chance to explore the world of myth, and stayed at home instead. Alone. Then last week, I finished the most fantastic book in the ...
...had briefly seen Lord Of The Rings on tv, so I was in the mood for something full of exploration and fable. I searched the teenage section, only to find a bunch of books based on love and romance...not much variety or excitement there then! So I sauntered over to the classical section, a shelf in the library I would normally turn a blind eye at. Browsing along, reading the spines, I spied such titles as What Katy Did Next...The Railway Children...Goodnight ... Read review
