Life can be pretty hectic at times in our house, particularly in the mornings as I have a 5-year old at school and a 5 month old baby. Breakfast can be a bit of a rush at times, but thanks to Farleys, life can be a bit easier.
As my baby is in the process of weaning, I try to be ultra-organised and prepare my own baby food, made from fruit and vegetables, and freeze it in batches. However, sometimes when my baby is hungry, I find Farley's is great as a backup.
There are many varieties to choose from, for breakfast, lunch and tea. Probably like most babies the puddings are a favourite as the savoury ones can seem a bit bland. Saying that though, my baby likes the cauliflower and brocolli cheese.
A packet of farleys costs in the region of £1.75 and if your baby is anything like mine with a healthy appetite this could work out quite expensive as there are probably only about 5-6 servings in each box.
Another favourite of my son's are the rusks. These are available in original, sugar-free, apple and banana flavour. They are versatile as they can be eaten as they are, or mixed into a puree with freshly boiled water, or milk.
The breakfast and puddings are particularly tasty as the porridge is very creamy and sweet, especially when mixed with breast milk. The puddings are also very good, especially banana custard which my son loves. All meals are nutritious and contain all baby's daily dietry requirements.
I have tried a few baby foods including heinz, but have found the ready made heinz baby foods taste a bit metallic, but the farley's ones seem to appeal more to my sons tastebuds.
As I mentioned before, the only disadvantage is the cost. I only use these foods as a back up as I can make about a months supply for the cost of one packet of Farley's, but for those mum's who find life hectic, take a break and reach out for Farley's.

Farley’s have been around for years, I remember my sister having the rusks and I wasn’t allowed them as I was a big girl and they were for babies! that must have been at least 30 years ago. Jane x

Farleys was all I brought for my eldest but it was too rich for the little one. Chris x

Nice op, I used to use these sometimes when my son was weaning, but personally I used to prefer the Boots own brand! :)
Advantages: Makes a fulfilling bedtime feed for hungrier babies. Comes in a variety of flavours, as well as sugar free. 9 large biscuits in pack, therefore you can break off exactly what is needed. . Disadvantages: A bit fiddly to mix out. Hard to handle.
