I am 23 years old and I love Farleys Rusks. I often take a wee notion for a rusk and i just bout a pack of 12 the other day in the chemist. I got the original ones, but there is choice of reduced sugar ones and if I am not mistaken a few years ago there was a banana flavour one...is this right readers?, maybe I am dreaming about this. Well if i am then this would be a great flavour for them so they can turn the milk banana flavoured!
Sometimes at night curled up infront of the television there is nothing more comforting than eating two ruusks with heated milk, it warms you right up and makes you have a nice night sleep. The other alternative is just eating them as biscuits. For all those people watching their weight these are the best things. For those who understand the weight watchers pointing system each rusk is one point and they are quite filling. I usually feel that after 2 rusts i am really full up!
They are shape like round raised disks and are larger than a digestive biscuit! They are creamy coloured and once they reach your mouth the happiness begins. Unlike other biscuits that just crumble in your mouth these actuallyt mis with your saliva to form a gewy paste just like it would do if it were in watet. I think this is what fills you up so mch, it must expand or something. This may sound disgusting but believe me you must try them!
They are quite expensive, but i have not checked out how much they are in bigger shops, but in the local chmeist for a pack of 12 was £1.99. When you open the box of 12 there are 2 foil packages containing six each. This is very good to keep them fresh. But I find anyway a pack of 12 only lasts about three days anyway! My mum even likes them and she is 50 so it just shows you that they are for any age!!!

I absolutely love the rusks - I thought I was the only one! x
Advantages: Makes a fulfilling bedtime feed for hungrier babies. Comes in a variety of flavours, as well as sugar free. 9 large biscuits in pack, therefore you can break off exactly what is needed. . Disadvantages: A bit fiddly to mix out. Hard to handle.
