Oh Brother, what a pile of poo

Advantages: looks like it could withstand a baseball bat attack
Disadvantages: tempremental, toner finisher is poor, cannot add up, copies at a snails pace

...you wanted to buy a Brother FAX 8360P and I would urge everyone reading not to it would cost around £230 and for that you get the fax machine, a network cable to hook it up to your LAN and a lead to plug it into the phone network to enable transmissions. We have had our Brother FAX 8360P for 6 months and the problems started pretty much straight away and the instruction manuals FAQ are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard, as it the manufacturers ...
...to send and receive documents from another fax machine. It also doubles up as a copying machine but in an office area, there is no need for this function if there is an onsite photocopier. It has the capacity to store up to 300 speed dial numbers but no ability to attach names to the numbers and nowhere to write them down so after inputting 30 or so you start to lose track of who is who. So the problems. Over the last 5 months (it worked ok for ...

Brother MFC 9060

Advantages: Cheap toner, excellent quality
Disadvantages: does not like cheap copy paper to print on!

...fax machine. Having had a Brother fax machine at my previous job i was impressed by its reliablilty and the cost of consumables. Whilst looking at rival fax machines, i could not find one that matched the excellent specification or price. The printer can be used as a multifunction device, however i only utilise it as a fax machine. However i have the back up that if one of my printers breaks down i can use the machine as a back up it could also ...
...can only feed sheets through it, so its use is limited on these points. The only slight niggle i have with the machine is that it does not seem to like my cheap copy paper that i use, and it sometimes requires that i only have one sheet in the feeder tray. Although this is really my fault as i buy the cheap paper! If i was expecting a large volume of faxes i would use better quality paper. Overall, i would recommend this as an excellent purchase ...

HE AINT HEAVY, HES MY BROTHER

Advantages: LARGE MEMORY, BUILT IN SCANNER, EASY TO INSTALL.
Disadvantages: COST, DOESNT PRINT THAT FAST.

MY EXPERIENCE. I use a fax machine everyday in my job, I'm always faxing internal and external customers various literature and information. We did have a very old fax when i started her last in august 2003, it was very slow indeed, the pages went through about 1 every 30 seconds at times, and the paper used was the horrible fax rolls type, which got jammed up inside it every now and again, which is very annoying. So after a bit of moaning and ...
...fax machine, and this is what we got. The installation was so easy, plug in the mains power, then plug in the phone line, away we go, easy peasy, Obviously installation would be abit more difficult without mains power or a phone line already installed, but we didn't have this problem. Upon powering it up, we needed to put in some A4 paper into the feeder tray, and we needed to input our fax number into it, so people at the other end, knew the who ...

Perfect for what I need

Advantages: Easy to use, cheap and economical
Disadvantages: Large desk footprint

I first used the Brother 8060P fax 5 years ago when my wife and I had our own company - Payroll bureau and Courier. In that setting there were 40 incoming and 25 outgoing faxes per day on average. All of these were a minimum of 4 pages. On top of this the ability to use it as a photocopier meant that we were printing approx 250 pages per day on this machine. I don't class that as light use and we were very pleased with the performance. When we sold ...
...still does today. The Brother 8060P is quite a large machine compared to the latest models but is a lot more robust and will take quite a lot of misuse. The print quality will never rival a dedicated laser printer but is more than good enough for most uses. I use the copy function to transfer printed circuit board images onto special film in order to manufacture new boards. It copes quite easily. The fax is easy to program for speed dial numbers ...

My Brother

Advantages: A complete Multifunction
Disadvantages: expensive

...years I use this Brother fax multifunction at work ,this mark before was unknown for me. Brother is a multinational enterprise of Japanese origin the Brother brand is now commercialized in approximately hundred countries around the world. Beside the production and commercialization , they improve also two centers of researches, because they want products always to the step with the latest technologies. The total number of staff, comprehensive of ...
...it means multifunction? It wants to say that this apparatus is a copier, a printer, a fax, and a scanner... what do you want of more complete?? The utilization is very easy with comprehensible keys, for example to send a fax there is a written green key with start, in order to stop there is a written red key with stop. At work we make it works very hard (we send approximately 100/150 faxes per day!!!) and the copier function is quite good (the ...
