Febreze - Thai Orchid spray Apart from Yankee candles I also like to have air fresheners in spray cans around the house in various rooms. The rooms I keep these in are the kitchen, the bathrooms... more

    Advantages Advantages Smells lovely

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pricey if not on offer

I live in an old cottage and despite opening windows when the weather permits, there is sometimes that 'musty' aroma that comes with old houses and so to disguise this I try to fragrance my home with something far more pleasant. I burn Yankee wax tarts on a regular basis though this is more often on an evening time when I'm settling down for the evening, and during the day I tend to give a quick blast of whichever air freshener I have handy as it's far more practical as I'm normally out and about on the school run etc so can't be having candles burning when I'm not in obviously. I'm not a big ... more

    Advantages Advantages Gorgeous smell, effective

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive, you have to use plenty

Scented candles and wax tarts are definitely my preferred way of keeping my home smelling nice and fresh, but really they’re more of an evening thing. If I want a fresh scent during the day, then I would usually grab an air freshener. Thankfully air fresheners have changed dramatically from the chemical, floral scents my mum used to spray, and now there’s a wide range of options available at the supermarket. Febreze are obviously best known for their fabric fresheners which many people swear by. My husband obviously thought this was all they made because when he saw me spraying this around the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Very pleasant smell.

Disadvantages Disadvantages My spray mechanism is faulty & I will have to discard it.

‘Leave Behind The Chaos Of Odours’ I am fortunate to live in a house with three bathrooms – well, strictly speaking, cloakrooms. Without being too explicit, there are times when there is a need to disguise less than pleasant smells – we are a household of 3 adults after all! Whenever possible I prefer to do this by opening the appropriate window and letting the fresh air in. This is hard to do in the downstairs cloakroom because of how and where that window opens out, and, as this is the one most likely to be used by guests, I’m quite keen to make sure it always smells pleasant. For the ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice can, nice scent, good trigger mechanism.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive at full rrp.

I am not a big user of air fresheners; I only ever have two air fresheners in use at a time in the house, one in each bathroom to help mask those inevitable bathroom smells. So when I spotted some money off vouchers for Febreze available to print from supersavvyme I printed them off and popped them in my purse to use later in the week at Tesco. Once in Tesco I was happy to find that Febreze air fresheners were on offer, so combining my vouchers with Tesco’s offer I managed to snag two Febreze air fresheners, one at a £1 and the other at 50p. The one I am reviewing today is Febreze Thai Orchid ... more

Thai delights As a fan of the original Febreze Fabric Refresher, I couldn't resist trying out these air fresheners. When they were reduced in the supermarket recently I decided to pick up two - the Cotton Fresh and Thai Orchid versions. I'm reviewing the latter as it was my favourite of the two! This product comes in an aerosol spray can, with a little lever that you pull back to disperse a fine jet of scent into the air. It is a 300ml can and comes in a wide range of fragrances, ranging from the simple cotton version I also bought, to the more exotic such as this one, Caribbean Paradise and ... more
