I recently purchased this Febreze Caribbean Paradise air freshener (for around £3) after seeing an advert in a magazine, which lets you smell a sample. I couldn't resist, especially since it's nearly summer, which is my favourite season :) The description on the back of the can reads 'You may just be tempted to roll up your trousers and build a sand castle in your living room'. Who could resist the thought of that? :) The Caribbean Paradise scent is part of a set of 3 recently launched scents - the others are Thai Orchid and Brazilian Carnival (I think!). Because I live in a shared flat, it can get a little less than fresh sometimes, so I thought this would liven the place up a bit, whilst getting rid of any odours at the same time.

The packaging is similar to the other Febreze products - a long cylindrical can (300ml), with an easy-pull trigger to spray. The Caribbean Paradise product is a light turqouise blue, with a tiny image of a tropical island and a pineapple on the front of the can. Spraying it is so easy - there's no need to screw anything to 'on' or 'off' position - just pick up and spray when and wherever you want to, and then put the can back. I've been using this many times since I got it, and although there's no lid, the product is so light that there's no blockage or stickiness, which is great.

The scent itself is gorgeous. It smells like a mix of tropical fruits, and basically just what you'd expect summer in a can to smell like! I've used this everywhere, even when I don't need to get rid of any odours, just for the smell.

The downsides of the spray - whilst it does eliminate everyday odours (without just masking them), it won't eliminate much stronger odours completely. (I speak from personal experience, which involved a full bin bag which was long overdue to be taken out - hopefully none of you would have this problem anyway though!) This is somewhat expected, though - for such a cheap price it's not going to be a miracle worker and you'd probably need something more heavy duty.

Overall though, I feel that this purchase was a breath of fresh air! It's a very original scent compared with other air fresheners on offer, so I'd recommend if you're looking for something a bit different, particularly for summer.
