Fedex provides a professional and efficient courier service both internationally and for domestic shipments of all sizes. They offer various time frames for delivery from next day by 9am international courier to longer transit times. You obviously pay for the ... ...delivery for the next morning (e.g London to New York would cost £30+). That said, they have always deliered on time and nothing has ever gone missing.
Ordering is easy and can be done either by phone or internet. Customer care has always been of a high quality and the people who pick up and deliver items have always been very pleasant and personable.

They offer various time frames for delivery from next day by 9am international courier to longer transit times. You obviously pay for the speed and it can be very expensive if wanting a delivery for the next morning (e.g London to New York would cost £30+). That said, they have always deliered on time and nothing has ever gone missing.

The only slight problem I had was once when they had trouble finding an address. in this instance they held and redelivered the package numerous times at no extra cost. I never got to the bottom of who was at fault for the delivery delay as it was a delivery to a remote farm in France and the occupiers claimed the delivery never came, and Fedex claimed no-one was ever in. Either way, it got there in the end.
This aside, I haven't had any trouble but then again most shipments have been from London to major international cities, so perhaps the France incident is indicative of the service to more remote destinations.
I suppose my advice would be that they are excellent for pick-ups and deliveries to major cities mainly because this is the bulk of my experience with them.

They have been trying to deliver a parcel to my house for over two weeks, 3 times I have been told that my address is incorrect, they have lied about days they tried to deliver, and lied about my neighbours not being at home to accept the delivery. I have parcels delivered on a regular basis and I haven't had problems with any other couriers like this. I have wasted eons of time just trying to track one parcel which has still not arrived. Basically they just don't give a damm. ...

Advantages: They have a money back gaurantee so you know you will be getting a refund when they fail to deliver on time Disadvantages: Incompetence, lazyness of staff.
I sent a consignment to the Carribean using FEDEX. Well, I tried to. Sending an item with them involves copying the paperwork FIVE TIMES. The man came to collect the parcel from my house- I was expecting him to bring me a FedEd carton but they had ran out so I had to re-pack the consignment in my original packaging. The following day, i received a phone call asking me where the paperwork was. I had put it in the plastic wallet and the driver stuck ... ...parcel had even reached Stansted! From Stansted it went to Miami. At Miami they put it on the wrong plane. It went back to Miami the following day. They then put it on the correct plane to Kingston. At Kingston it sat in the warehouse for 8 days. I phoned them up to ask them if they would mind doing the job that they had charged £80 for,i e delivering the parcel. The reply came " Well, we have subcontracters to deliver in Jamaica, its not up to us ...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Terrible cusotmer service, lack of trust
Our company has been posting our items with Fedex for two months.
We have had nothing but problems and poor customer service from our local office (Leicester)
For example, we lost one item in our first consignment that was worth £250. Fedex admitted they left the parcel in the porch of the wrong address and thay hadnt obtained a signature. We were then told that we would only get £36 back for the parcel as the compensation was for £12 a kilo. FEDEX ... ...weights so that we get more money back when they get 'lost'.
At the end of the day Fedex do not care one bit about your items and this was made quite clear in all our dealings with their management.
The driver who collected our consignments from us was the only good part of their service as he was always very flexible. Is this the sort of company we wish to continue doing business with??
NO!!!
We are moving elsewhere.
Avoid Fedex at all costs ...

Advantages: 90-99.5% of ALL deliveries get there on time Disadvantages: It's that 10-.5% which don't.....
leave it unless instructed - self explanitory, or the driver ran out of time. It's a standard industry 'excuse'. What won't happen though is that priority is given the next day, because of what I've mentioned above, BUT an attempt to deliver must be made....according to the procedures all carriers operate - it really depends where the address concerned slots into the round.
