...any more wet or dry Felix I want my treats.
For you, my friends that don’t get these as a treat, I urge you to crawl inside an empty carrier bag to tell your pet what is missing. Make sure it is a red bag as they normally come in these; green ones are not worth exploring.
My mum (and pet) doesn’t know I can read so I may be giving the game away here but you really need to know about these.
First of all the packet is quite ... ...is a tiny picture of Felix and a web site address” come on mum, I want to see this” I wish I could do this for myself; it’s fun to see the little pictures come popping up.
“What is this?” That Felix cat has a site all to himself, “come on mum, open the door and let him in” Surely you can follow that instruction, it says so right by the closed door.
Now mum lets me see some of these sites, at least I sit on her lap until she let’s ... more
Meow fellow felines, my mum has finally taken my hints and let my paws loose on this box she plays with every day instead of playing with me. She’s a bit slow with cat language so I dropped some hints by crawling underneath this tray thing she pulls out to use her paws on and sleeping on top of a nice warm, but very small object that flashes pretty lights on and off.
I must admit I need her help these little button thingies are a bit small for my paws but I’ll leave her to play by herself after I’ve had my say. (Meow to you). Now our pets are sometimes hard of hearing, it comes from having little ears, so I just gave her one of my annoyed howls that always gets her mobile, no mum, I don’t want any more wet or dry Felix I want my treats.
First of all the packet is quite small, blue in colour, much deeper than my lovely pale blue eyes, but they have a picture on them that is the same as the cat on the TV, you know him, he’s the bossy little black and white one that is called Felix, which is the name on the packet. He’s announcing by his bold stance that the picture of little brown sticks belong to him, but he doesn’t know that most cats get these if they howl long enough. Mum makes a big thing about opening the packet; doesn’t she know I’m dying for one? She just mutters about “Where are those damn scissors”, (don’t let your kittens hear this it’s a bad word).
She says it’s because it keeps them fresh because they seal themselves up afterwards and I have to admit she has a point. I wouldn’t touch one of those smelly tins when they have been opened. Now she makes a big fuss over teasing me, she pulls a long stick from the packet (my eyes miss nothing) and holds one in the air. Grrr I have to play at leaping about for her, though I’m sorry I nearly bit her fingers off one time, I was rather young at the time. If I don’t feel up to playing games I’ll stalk away with my tail in the air and then she gets sorry and balances one on the edge of the little table. This is my queue to act huffy but I can’t resist them so I grab the end with my teeth
I can’t tell you how good the taste is; they are chewy and smell of fish. Sometimes she buys other ones that taste of Chicken & liver or Ham & Cheese, but Salmon &Trout are my favourites. My sister Sophie is older than me and won’t play, so mum breaks them up for her but the daft cat it too slow for me and I can soon pinch them from under her nose, so mum sometimes puts them on her wet food when she thinks I’m not looking. Silly pet!
I have to play the game to get another one, mum says I can only have two a day because it says so on the packet, so let me have a read. These letters are a bit small but under Feeding Guide it does say only two per day and make sure I have lots of clean fresh water, well she is good at that, bless her. So why can’t I have any more? Let me look at the ingredients, hmmm.. I’m getting good at this. Meat and animal derivatives, (I’ll have to look that word up when she’s not looking). Vegetable protein extracts, sugars? Ouch, bad for my teeth. Fish and fish derivatives, minerals oils and fats, colours and preservatives (another one to look up). Typical analysis, protein, oil, ash? Fibre and moisture. Maybe ash is the reason why I can’t have too many!
Right, there is a tiny picture of Felix and a web site address” come on mum, I want to see this” I wish I could do this for myself; it’s fun to see the little pictures come popping up. “What is this?” That Felix cat has a site all to himself, “come on mum, open the door and let him in” Surely you can follow that instruction, it says so right by the closed door. Now mum lets me see some of these sites, at least I sit on her lap until she let’s me look.
Fellow felines you will not believe your eyes! You can make this cat do what you like, let him in the door, see what he chooses for his lunch and get him to show you his favourite toys. When you are fed up with him, you just send him away, now that’s what I call fun!
Mum has just looked up some more information on new treats to come, I like the look of that new food, “Tender Succulent Steaklets and in jelly too, I don’t much like gravy. Well what feline would have guessed it? Here are all my old favourite foods, Sophie’s favourite milk and lots of new treats, “when are you going shopping again mum?” A word in your silky ears, I don’t like milk but some of you may, like my big sister and it can give you tummy ache, so get your pet to buy the Felix milk, it is low in lactose, which is something I know all about because mum can’t have milk either.
Meowwwwwwwww! I need a stretch, but just before I go I want to say that you can get a “meesletter”, as well from this site so give your pet a nudge.
Mum has now gone onto the Purina web site and history bores me so from Kira the amazing cat who has brought these treats to your attention, I’m off for a well-earned nap.
If you can get your pet in a good mood (rubbing against legs purring loudly is a great con-trick) get them to look up these sites below and put your paw on the picture of Felix Sticks, a nod’s as good as a wink they say.

...One of the packets was Felix Lickins Chicken which currently cost 64p for a 50g packet in our local Asda store.
The packet is about four inches wide by about six inches and the top is shaped like a cat's paw with four little white 'pads'. The wording across the top of the packet is 'Purina Felix Lickins chicken flavour' and then 'delicious chewy treats' across the bottom.
To get at the treats you just have to tear off a piece across the top of ... ...Another of the packets was Felix Sticks which currently cost 50p for a 25g packet in our local Asda store.
The packet is the same as the one for the Lickins but the wording across the top of the packet is 'Purina Felix Sticks with Salmon and Trout' and then 'delicious moist treats' across the bottom.
On the front of the packet there is also a picture of Felix the cat with those manic round eyes!
The pack opens and reseals in exactly the same as ...

...month ever since I discovered Felix Rascal’s Reward Meaty Sticks. No, not by hubby (although I have been tempted to feed him cat food more than once!) but by my two loveable moggies. Now, when I return from the mid week shop, I can practically guarantee that I’ll find two cats with heads wedged into carrier bags trying to unearth them. My two pussies (my babies!) are spoilt; I’m the first to admit. They eat the finest dried cat ... ...indulge them too often! The Felix sticks are their absolute favourite treats and they go down well with me too (not literally!) because they’re inexpensive.
The meaty sticks themselves are provided in a resealable packet to ensure freshness when opened. Each pack contains a dozen or so sticks. The photo on the front shows a picture of a lady generously feeding her moggy from her hand, I would warn against this! The first time I tried to do ...

...across the floor! Thanks to Felix Lickin's I have not had to resort to a bowl of cat treats for breakfast so that she can join me! A week before she was going to be spayed I decided that we aught to give her something special to show her we still love her, despite the fact we are forcing her to abandon her maternal instincts. So I wandered up and down the cat food isle and picked up a few tins of Felix. (She normally gets Asda or Tesco own, but I ... ...the crunchy toppings, or the Felix Sticks and last time we tried her on the Dentabix she nearly choked! Then I found the Felix Lickin's, 79p for a 50g pack, which isn't bad when you consider the cost of human treats! I thought that we may as well give them a go and picked up the Salmon flavoured pack.
The minute I go back in the door I was pounced upon - I've herd that cat's have a 6th sense but could she really have known that I'd bought something ...

...I first came across Felix Rascal's Rewards when my Dad gave Sasha and Pita (more about her name later) a Christams present each. (arhh, bless!!) He thought they needed to have a treat as well as everyone else stuffing themselves silly on turkey and mince pies. They are little bite size pieces of goodness, available in 3 different flavors:- Fish, Meat and Dairy. Each treat is a different shape, for example the meat ones are heart shapped and the fish ... ...about their calorie intack!). Felix have also listed a Friskies Petcare Service, with a helpful advice freephone telephone number. They offer advice on Felix products and caring for your cat in general. They are generally a big success with 50% of my cats and I would recommend them to anybody thinking what to buy as a treat. Must be surved only as a supliment to their regular diet. ...

...the time we feed him Felix which, he loves. His favourite is Felix with tuna. As soon as we open the pack he gets a hint of the smell and instantly becomes attached to our legs whilst we are trying to put the food in his dish. With the knife we try to use it just to push into his dish but at the same time the cat is using his head to nudge our hands out of the way so he can get stuck in.
The pack is about the right size for the cat because he just ... ...jelly substance. My mother buys Felix from Tesco’s for 28p a sachet which is a reasonable price.
On the back of the pack there is a feeding guide. I thought it would be open pack give to cat and bob’s your uncle, but you are to give your cat so many sachets a day. We give our cat two sachets a day and some iams.
The ingredients for the Felix with tuna are as follows:
Meat and animal derivatives
Fish and fish derivatives (tuna min 4%)
Minerals

Advantages: Tifa loves it Disadvantages: Expensive
Felix ?as good as it looks? Kitten Food Pouches:
My cat Tifa is not a year old yet so she is still eating kitten food, I have tried her on the adult stuff a few times but she won?t eat it. I am hoping at twelve months she will suddenly change her mind and eat the adult stuff but we will have to see. Anyway back to the point?
Felix as good as it looks comes in pouches each one giving Tifa two meals. I think you are meant to feed up to four of these a day but I also feed Tifa dry cat biscuits or else she just cries for food all the time, so she has just two.
The pouches come in a box which seems to be the standard for all pouch type cat food. It can be a pain to open the box on occasion and other times it opens with no problems at all. There are twelve pouches in the boxes I buy and they cost £4.41 at Tesco which is actually quite ...
According to the adverts eight out of ten cats prefer Whiskas but I seem to have the 20% that doesn’t. I’ll not say that that languid lump of feline fur of mine is a fussy eater because he will just about eat Whiskas but only under protest as he much prefers Felix. He would probably die for a lick of the jelly.
The 400g tins at 46p come in a variety of flavours most of which include the jelly, although there are a couple of flavours that have gravy and Spike hates those. He would rather starve than eat the cat food with gravy. He’s not over keen on the fishy varieties either of which there are two.
The ring pull does make it easy to open the can to reveal what looks like 1 cm cubes of compressed and coloured sawdust covered in a mid brown jelly substance.
Now Spike is no fool when it comes to me opening a tin ...

Advantages: Wide range of flavours and products Disadvantages: Quite expensive, are all the products neccessary?
admit to being extra happy to see tins of Felix as experience tells me these are always popular with my 'guests'.
Felix is the brand I buy most often for my own cats as it is there preferred choice and there is a wide choice to look at.
Who makes Felix?
=
Felix is produced by Friskies who also produce Go-Cat petfood. It is available at most major supermarkets, petshops and online pet retailers.
What types of food do Felix make?
As with many pet food manufacturers Felix seems to be becoming more and more diverse, producing all sorts of special tins etc. I will look at these in turn.
