I was diagnosed with a severe ileo femeral DVT in my right leg, going from my knee to my chest, i had a localized clot in my other thigh and a PE to the lung. The Mirena, maybe not to everyone's taste.

Advantages: Low maintenace and very reliable contraceptive method
Disadvantages: Strong side effects in my case

bad pill!

Advantages: more sex, bigger breasts, less painfull periods
Disadvantages: spots, long periods, serious mood swings

this pill is a nightmare on so many levels. it has given me so many spots, a 3 week period, sore breasts and almost depression. my sex drive has increased though its crazy. i dont reccommend at all. my doctor told me its a low dose pill so i was quite looking forward to start taking it but now i have nothing but regrets. this is the second one i have taken to replace the awful microgynon and i expected a lot less problems. i got the opposite! its ...

8 years on cerazette

Advantages: No periods for 8 years (fantasic!)
Disadvantages: Depression, 4 stones weight gain, mood swings, greasy hair, tiredness, zero libido.

Mercilon-Contraceptive Pill. Works for me.

Advantages: Regualr periods, prevents pregnacy
Disadvantages: More sensitive with missed pill moments.
