I bought my Fender DG25S several years ago when visiting my brother up in Newcastle. I'd been looking to buy an acousticguitar for some time and my brother took me to his local music shop where he was friends with the manager. On the first day we got there a little late and the shop was closing, so I only had a chance to try a couple of guitars. In particular, a blonde Gibson (think John Lennon-style) really stood out for me and I thought I'd found my guitar, for £320. We decided to go back the next day at a more respectable hour so I could spend my hard-earned cash.
On the second day we bumped into my brother's friend who about to go on his lunch, but mentioned that there was a very nice Fender going on special offer. My initial reaction was that Fender are not renowned for the quality of their acoustics and thought it couldn ...

I got the "Squier Fender SA100 AcousticGuitar" from my wife Susan for Christmas. You know what its like, they ask you what you want for Christmas and you say "I am not bothered anything", Well this year I was telling her I wanted to learn how to play an AcousticGuitar.
The joke was I would serenade her down the allotment in the summer :). Susan said I was not having one as she knows I would probably turn up at her job as sing to her. I do silly thing like send her a dozen red roses for Valentines Day etc.

I ripped of the paper and found the Squier Fender SA100 AcousticGuitar, I was over the moon, but my kids played heck with there mum as she was seen to be encouraging me.
Well the first thing is ...
Advantages: Sound, build, playability Disadvantages: Rounded back can be awkward at first.
If you have read some of my other guitar reviews, you will know im a bit of a collector of guitars. In fact, you could almost say its an obsession.
Therfore no collection would be complete without an axe from one of the world's finest and best known acoustic producers. Ovation.
I own the Ovation Celebrity Deluxe which i believe is the finest looking in the Ovation range. However, you will also know that from my other reviews, Im left handed with the guitar which narrows your choice in colour.
For a Right hander, the choices include, Black, Natural, Wine, Green and a sunburst effect top and also available in vasious mapel finishes. Im afraid to say my only choice was Black. Still it does look rather fetching and contrasts well with the Marquetry effect leaves around the multiple sound holes.
Being an Ovation, it does come ...
