I had personally bought an american deluxe simply as a "blues guitar" however it didn't take me long to fall in love with the instrument. Whilst the samarium cobalt noiseless pickups from ... ...the traditional (and noisy) pickups do they offer a thick yet very distinctive tone that is rich and dynamic with all but the highest of trebble intact. Whilst in my oppinion t doesn't have the same "twang" as 'non noisless pickups' possess it more than makes up with the ability to use very high gain settings live with no worry about even a hint of a buzz as I have tested on several occasions.

Whilst the samarium cobalt noiseless pickups from Bill Lawrence do not offer the same glassy bite that the traditional (and noisy) pickups do they offer a thick yet very distinctive tone that is rich and dynamic with all but the highest of trebble intact. Whilst in my oppinion t doesn't have the same "twang" as 'non noisless pickups' possess it more than makes up with the ability to use very high gain settings live with no worry about even a hint of a buzz as I have tested on several occasions.
My only suggestion is perhaps to track one down with an LSR nut or modify the guitar if you intend on using the tremelo bar for any extended amounts of time. Whilst the guitar stays in tune exceptionally well, in my experience the larger wound strings occasionaly tend to stick to the nut which alters the tension across all strings very slightly, causing the guitar to be a few cents out (tuning wise).
All in all the guitar is fantastic, and I dont think that I will ever sell it. (The only reason that I do not rate it 5 for everything is because that spot is most lifor guitars that are way beyond this
