Advantages Affordable, and gig worthy amp

Disadvantages like all things in ranges, you'll allways want the next one up

Now discontinued, but these range of amps were lovely. I have owned mine for many years, its been used alot, gigged a number to times and its still going strong. Whilst it is by no means a large amp, it packs the sound of a good high quality piece of gear, and works well when miked up. I have never had any issues of interference from other sources bleeding through it, and with distortion effects, can give a nice bit of feedback when putting the bass up to it, which is a nice thing to rely on if needed.

As far as its specs goes from the manual, they are as follows,

Black Carpet with Black Metal Grille Covering

Weight: 50 lbs. (22.7 kg)

Height: 22.5 inches (57.15 cm), Width: 18 inches (45.72 cm), Depth: 12 inches (30.48 cm)

Solid State Bass Amplifier Combo

60 Watts, 8 ohms output

1-12 inch Fender Special Design 8 ohm, 100 watt Speaker

1 Channel

Features include - Active and Passive Instrument Inputs, 4-Band EQ, "Mid Scoop" Switch, Delta Comp Adaptive Compression Circuitry, Auxilliary Input for CD, Tape or Drum Machine, Effects Loop (Preamp Out/Power Amp In), Headphone Jack, Line Out Jack, Ported Cabinet, Black Carpet Covering, Rugged Black Metal Grille,
Oversized Plastic Corners

Controls include: Active and Passive Instrument Inputs, Mid Scoop Switch, Volume, EQ (Low, Low/Mid, High/Mid, High), CD Input. Effects Loop: Preamp Out, Power Amp In, Headphone Jack, Line Out Jack.

At the time I believe I payed somewhere between £150-£200 for it, and as you can see from its specs, it has features from amps beyond its worth, made with suprisingly good workmanship from modern Fender, whilst being a very affordable amp to do gigs in. You can use it in large hall spaces, to small venues, and it will still be loud and clear enough to project your playing well. If you are looking for a decent bass amp that is affordable, and you see any of these going anywhere give them a try, great value for money.
