...In short, probably not. Yes the service is free, but what do you get? News channels, kids TV, shopping TV, and various radio stations, plus BBC TV channels like BBC4 andBBC3. The problem is would you ever bother to switch it on just for this? The only time I ever use it is when there's a major news story and it's on NEWS24, otherwise I dont bother. If you have kids it might be better for you, but otherwise what you're getting is all the rubbish and nothing much of any interest. As far as this particular set top box is concerned, I would recommend Pace instead. Pace boxes are very well made and do everything they're meant to.This Ferguson version is not as user friendly and some of the buttons dont work i.e. the mute and volume controls. ...Recently I purchased a 28 inch Dolby virtual surround TV made by Samsung. I have found the quality of this TV to be excellent and far superioir to the 3 year old Ferguson 28 inch TV which it replaced. The cocntrol is easy to operate and the sound and picture quality if excellent. It doesnt even seem to pick up as much dust as the Ferguson. Overall an excellent product purchased along with a Nicam Video Recorder (Samsung model SV-630B) for the price of £420 from TV International on Peartree Lane near the Merry Hill centre West Midlands....
