Ferrari 360
Advantages: Fast Disadvantages: Dangerous
...One of the best looking ferrari models available today. Very fast and modern looking!
We like the Ferrari 360. In other news, we also like Dom Perignon, vacationing in Fiji and dating Heidi Klum (or to be fair, Brad Pitt). Indeed, coming up with "cons" for such a marvelous automobile like the 360 Modena and Spider is like criticizing Heidi for having a funny accent or Brad for dyeing his hair. This Ferrari set the bar for other "lower-end" supercars ... ...glass hood?
Most Recent Ferrari 360
The Ferrari 360 was all-new in 1999 and offered in Modena coupe and Spider convertible body styles. They were powered by a mid-mounted 3.6-liter V8 that pumped out a raucous 400 horsepower at 8,500 rpm. Low-end power wasn't as plentiful with a "mere" 275 pound-feet at 4,750 rpm. The all-important 0-60-mph sprint was accomplished in a few ticks north of 4 seconds.
The standard transmission was a six-speed manual ...

Had the chance to drive one recently
Advantages: Style, Power and Exclusivity Disadvantages: Lack of downforce
I was fortunate enough to go on one of those "Ferrari Experience" days at the Thruxton circuit recently. To be honest I wasn't too sure what to expect, visually the 355 is superb, the car exudes presence, class and quality. Entering the car via the massive Coupe door you are presented with a very wide drivers seat and nice relaxed drivers position. Considering the price tag the interior is more focused on the functional side rather than luxury which ... ...exterior. Starting the car and fliping the throttle rewards you with a very bassy thump thump reminicent of a Harley Davidson - you can feel that this car is something very special. Driving off, and around the first corner the car exudes power and confidence but to be honest i was somewhat disappointed that it didn't seem quite the wild animal that i had believed it to be. As the driver you have total control on the road, if you hit that throttle ...

A classic ferrari
Advantages: Looks, Performance, Sheer presence Disadvantages: None
...doesn't produce the loudest, trademark ferrari squeal, but it insures the 550 leaves the starting blocks with effortless ease and makes it a dream overtaking car due to its' huge torque. The interior of the car is basic but sexy. Few controls, a plain dashboard and smooth, comfortable seats give it a 'real' racing car feel. The boot is also large enough to fit a set or two of golf clubs in along with the wives shoe bag. The 550 Maranello is an outstanding ...

A definate fiery redhead
Advantages: Ferrari badge, classic Disadvantages: Ferrari Badge
...to challenge lamboghinis countach the ferrari testarossa (red-head in Italian) is a mid-engined, rear wheel drive, 390bhp piece of classic pininfarina design. Its handling as you would expect from any ferrari is of the highest standard. It sat in the ferrari range as the smaller brother to the awesome F40 and in 1985 Ferrari built over 800 of them, mass production by their standards yet the waiting list just got bigger. In the late 80's such was ... ...car for a collecter, devote ferrari lover or a weekend play thing. As with all Ferrari's you just cant live with it every day, and you are always a little unsure of what people think of you on the roads, but if you're the type of person to buy one of these, you probably dont care. And rightly so. ...

308GTS - The Grin Factor
Advantages: Grins all the way Disadvantages: Occasional high bill
Like most boys, growing up included walls adorned with posters of Lamborghini's or Ferrari's. Actually growing up didn't change much, except the posters were replaced by drooling over the classifieds in a dreamy state. MGB's TR6's & Sunbeam Tigers were but a few of the cars I craved, never making my mind up which would be the one. Eventually I started looking at potential cars, more of a tyre kicking exercise than a serious purchase one, the choices ... ...the potentials changed to TVR's. Finally I spotted a 1979 308GTS and advertised in side profile, lowered with its 17" split rim alloys, it was love at first sight. The virtual budget once again was increased, now 3 times it original size! Could I really spend this much money on a weekend plaything? I viewed and drove a few for comparison, a later injection model, a QV and another carb model. For me, these cars didn't have the same visual impact as ...
