Advantages: Easy to look after, can stand some neglect, easy to propagate, cheap Disadvantages: Feed at your peril
There are many suitable plants for indootrs which will last well, look good and possibly help the quality of the air in your home. One such plant is the spider plant.
BACKGROUND
Packing the down stairs of my house up a couple of weeks ago ready for some much needed, but equally much dreaded work, I carried all of my plants upstairs into the spare bedroom for safe keeping. I was amazed at just how many spider plants I have and the size of some of them.
When my Mum died, back in 1975, I took her indoor plants home, as I knew she had really cherished them. To this day I would hate to throw a living plant away, even if I did not want it. Advantages: Setting, performances, fascinating psychological study. Disadvantages: Some dialog difficult to hear, pacing may annoy some.
, and Spider is no different. It may be a more simplistic tale than the others, but it still has the ability to get under the skin and bother the viewer.
The man we saw getting off the train was Spider Cleg (Ralph Fiennes), a man released to a halfway house from the asylum where he has spent most of his life. While there though, his mind begins to fall back into thoughts of his childhood, and the events that led to his original internment. He recalls an incident involving his mother (Miranda Richardson) and father (Gabriel Byrne) that changed his entire life and shaped him into the disturbed man that he is today.
From that, the story may sound like nothing particularly special, but in reality, the story itself is not the important part here. Of course it's necessary, but the whole film is an exercise in psychological study more than ...

Advantages: Funky, compact, reclining. Disadvantages: Small basket & hood.
As a fan of anything colourful and funky (& usually totally impractical I might add), the Mutsy Spider pushchair really jumped out at me whilst flicking through a nursery catalogue. The picture I first saw was of the shocking pink variant....and I loved it! But, 20 weeks into the pregnancy, baby turned out to be a he, & thoughts of the pink pushchair dwindled...
Then after seeing the pushchair in person & realising that the 'Ocean' turquoise was pretty damn funky too, I just had to have it!
The Mutsy Spider isn't intended for use as a primary pushchair, but as a lightweight, compact variant.
