My middle name is Ferrari.....

Advantages: Looks good in red !!
Disadvantages: Wide

This is THE review I?ve been itching to write, and as I?m such a reserved person as Sue26 will tell you, her I go !!! Ferrari is one of the most evocative names in the world, but their cars are more refined in appearance, you have to be a very ?in your face? person to drive a Lamborghini. A Ferrari is speed and elegance epitomised and embodies the ethos of it?s founder Enzo Ferrari. Ferrari in this country is looked after by Ferrari U.K. (Maranello Concessionaires Ltd.) The web site is www.Ferrari.co.uk, and is well worth a visit by all car enthusiasts. The U.K. company was founded by Colonel R.J. ?Ronnie? Hoare, a man of great vision who made the U.K. one of the largest markets foe Ferrari cars. Now, to diverge for a minute, Mike Hawthorn was Britain?s first motor racing world champion, and on winning the 1958 title at the wheel ...

The fall and rise of Ferrari.

Advantages: Plenty of cash.
Disadvantages: None.

! Recently FIAT bought a 90% stake in the company and this useful injection of cash has enabled them to land Michael Schumacher as driver which has propelled them to a very succesful era, after 21 years of relative failure. The team is based at Maranello in northern Italy, they are the only team with their own test track (Fiorano) which does give them an advantage. It is a proven fact that when Ferrari do well, the number of people watching Grands Prix increases and so does the amount of money flowing into the FIA's coffers. This is why I am slightly suspicious about just how level the proverbial playing field is for all Formula One teams. Just for the record I am going to record all the suspicious instances involving Ferrari, for posterity, commencing with this season. Make your own minds up and please post comments, I am ...

Ferrari WIN Championship title in Malaysia

Advantages: fine racing car, good build, good performance, grip, handling
Disadvantages: not many, may not have as much straight line speed as Mclarens..yet

01.01.2001 update This opinion was written immediately after Ferrari won the Championship in October 2000, and relates to the events and feelings that unfolded in Sepang during the winning moments. ---------------------------------------------------- Already a Triple World Champion after winning at Japan 2 weeks ago, Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello finished 1st and 3rd at Malaysia today. This ensured that Ferrari won the constructors Championship well ahead of Mclaren. The Mclaren’s got of too a good start but due to Mika’s stop/go penalty, Mika was not able to finish on the podium despite fighting his way through the field and came 4th. However, David Coulthard had an exciting race chasing race leader, Michael Schumacher during the last few laps of the race. After a close race, he was not able to ...
