The design is actually based around a formular 1 car, and because the Ferrari company wanted to keep suspence on the car, the actually released it into car show rooms in 1996 on the companys fifty-th birthday.

Unlike the 3 litre double turbo of the F40, which only produced 480hp, the F50 blows it away, as the company managed to get its weight down to a staggering 1330kg, 100kg less than its designer intended possible. The design is actually based around a formular 1 car, and because the Ferrari company wanted to keep suspence on the car, the actually released it into car show rooms in 1996 on the companys fifty-th birthday. The F50 is simply a grand upgrade of an F40. You dont quite get the raw feel with the F50 though, because its just so dam pretty! It is however one of the fastest road cars on the face of the planet. Unlike the 3 litre double turbo of the F40, which only produced 480hp, the F50 blows it away, as the company managed to get its weight down to a staggering 1330kg, 100kg less than its designer intended possible. Its holds an amazing 4.7 litre, 12 cylinder engine, which produces 521hp, which brings its top speed out at 203mph, and its acceleration at 3.9 sec, from 0-60mph! It stands at 1.12m from the ground, its length 4.48m, and its width 1.99m! Amazingly this car hasnt got a supercharged engine,-like it would need one anyways! Its extremly responsive to the road,-so watch those sharp corners! And at 203mph top speed you'd think it would have ABS brakes,-Nope, no such thing on this car. Its a 12 cylinder, V-shape; bore x storke 85 x 69mm; capacity 4698 cc; max. torque 471 Nm at 6500 rpm; power output 521 hp (383kW) at 8500rpm. If youve seen the outside of this car you'd faint at its fair beauty, then when you'd start it up and listen to its growl-grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!! I love this car, its my dream car, and costs a fair bit, anything in the region from £500,000, for a spanking new one with all luxurys, to 40,000, for an older one. So as you can imagine I havent got one! But for now i can dream, and admire the giant poster of it on my wall.........
