Great for a runaround
Review of Fiat Punto 1.2  by zakkie1

Advantages: Very economical all around
Disadvantages: Power

...oomph the fiat had on the motorway having said that its only a 1.2. I thought i may get a problem with the bodywork as the early one I had just rotted away but the last couple I have had have been great. I would thoroughly recomend this car . ... Read review

The Italian tank!
Review of Fiat Punto 1.9 D  by TheGolfer

Advantages: Reliable, good fuel consumption
Disadvantages: Noisy, poor gear box

We have owned our Fiat Punto now for over 5 years although it is our second car so spends most of its life running to the shops and taking the dog out to where we walk her. The car is in so many ways a contradiction. It looks reasonably stylish and is comfortable enough for short journeys but becomes rather less so on longer journeys. On the positive side it has always proved to be completely reliable, has excellent fuel consumption and is quite ...
...biggest issue and one where you could fall out with your neighbours is the diesal engine sounds like a tank when you start it up and leave it at idle speed. I also find the gear changes very stiff and unresponsive at times needing a second go to actual change gear. The other disappointment is the boot, being very shallow and not very long you invariably have to put down the back seats if you want to load anything of any size. That said, overall ... Read review

the worst car ever!!
Review of Fiat Grande Punto by samparratt

Advantages: nice colour (orange)
Disadvantages: everything else

i purchased my grande punto (1.9 multi jet sporting) in Feb 2008. i have had so mny problems with this car that it is in th garage more than it is driven and sometimes for up 2 2 weeks. the electric windows go up and down only when they want to. when braking in reverse u hear an awful grinding noise. the car loses acceleration mainly in 2nd gear altho i had quite a scary experience in the fast lane of the motorway! or pulling out on2 a busymain road ...
...also decides not 2 start sometimes and when it does it often comes up that my car had 'excess temperature fluid' the needle goes al the way 2 hot and i av 2 turn the engine off and restart it. very embarrassing especially in a busy petrol station. the car has been in the garage at least 5 times and the only thing they have fixed is the bluetooth which took 2attempts as the first time they done it it didnt recognise the english language! everytime ... Fiat Seicento
Review of Fiat Seicento 1.1 by kitty2385

Advantages: small enough to do 360's in tiny spaces, runs very well with very little maintenance
Disadvantages: the handbrake needs replacing after a few years.

Brilliant all round car, the only problem I have found with it is the handbrake can become lose, need replacing after a few years and a check kept on it after that. Also had to have a new exhaust put on it, probably due to not looking after it properly and I only washed it about 5 times in its life, Ive had it since December 2002, it was 6 months old then. The car is a fabulous little city car, very nippy, you can find parking spaces really easily, ...
...cars wouldnt be able too. This always amazes people and see it as a benefit of having a small car. All in all this car is very reliable, in the 6 years I have had the car it had (touch wood) never broken down, in fact it has once, I ran out of petrol!! Speaking of petrol it is NOT a petrol guzzler, very cheap to run in fact. If you are (like me) a girly girl who doesnt know much about cars, you can run this car into the ground and it just gives ... Fiat Stilo Problems
Review of Fiat Stilo by gavinburke

Advantages: Nice drive, lots of space, tons of features, fuel on motorways
Disadvantages: Too many computer problems, fuel in town driving

...I took it into the fiat garage, who cleared some errors off the computer and replaced the sensor on the passenger seat - £180 Next visit to the garage was a couple of months later when the computer light came on and told me I had engine failure, ABS failure and traction control failure. Took it to a non-fiat dealership this time who said it may need a service (and as the MOT had a week or so to run got both done). They told me the spark plugs were ...
...and 6 months earlier - £150 Two months go by and it runs fine. Then again engine failure going 70 on the motorway. Back to the garage it went yesterday, cleared a couple of computer errors and also fitted a new timing belt (car now done 51k miles) and said it may need a new alternator - £250 All-in-all I've spent £580 in 4 months on this car (without the possible alternator!) and tons more on fuel as it is really heavy on fuel. I think the computer ... Read review
