The external line isn' t very nice because is simple ,but. is , pretty, however. The metallized colour are the best for this model but the red colour is the best, for me. The motorization is of 1300 cc and the power is of 90 cv for this model, but ,there is a model of IDEA that have 1900 cc: it is builted with the new motor called 'MULTIJET': This is enginered from the Fiat and it gives a power of 120 'cavalli'; to the top of the category. Advantages: 'All the gadgets' Disadvantages: No acceleration
We bought a demo version - 3000 miles on the clock - as new, for a very good price. The car is bang upto date with all the boys toys and gadgets. Plenty of in car storage but the boot is small unless you put the back seat down. It really is just a 'stretched' punto and this shows with the acceleration - more weight, same engine - no acceleration! So far, 18 months, it has proved to be V reliable - no breakdowns and good on the fuel economy - 35 to ...

-50MPG is attainable on a run although no more than 30-35MPG in Town. These engines are also hard wearing and reliable and will withstand poor maintainence.
The upright looks of the car were fashionable in the 80`s, particularly after the success of the Uno but looked dated in the 90`s which expains why this very capable car will be available so cheaply.
The electrics are the only downside really but 1.4 base models were the most popular minus the digi dash and from 92 till its death in 95 Fiat dumped the idea anyway. If you have electric windows, roof, central locking or anything else that might go wrong, it will. The comfortable seats often fray too.
The Tipo was revamped in 92 - only once in fact. The range comprised of 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 litre engines and 1.7 and 1.9 diesels all of which are well capable.
