It was an ex-company car just 3 years old with 69,000 miles and FSH. It cost me £3,900 + about £50 for a mirror glass (cracked) Aerial (missing) filler cap (latch broken). I fitted the alloys and wider lower tyre from the Tempra which improved the handling and road holding.

So for under £4,000 I have a good looking, good handling, comfortable and spacious estate that does well over 40 mpg and hits illegal speeds quickly and easily if I let it.
Buy one and if you know of a direct injection JTD version for sale please let me know.

The high-spec HLX comes with 4 electric windows, decent stereo (with 6CD-changer optional), ABS, airbag, auto climate control (optional), sunroof, front fogs, alloys, suave velour upholstery, immobiliser, alarm etc. etc. - pretty much everything you could need.
The 2.4 diesel engine is a real belter, with a purposeful throaty growl that belies its oil-burning ... ...like a TVR or something big and German! Push that right pedal down and the turbo kicks in smoothly at about 2000 rpm, giving you bags of kick just when you need it for overtaking. It's a very comfortable car to drive, with lumbar support and nice firm seats - no backache after long journeys! Handling is great with big grippy 195/55 tyres letting you chuck the chassis around with confidence, but ride is not compromised - certainly a lot better than ...
