4 Stars CHEAP AND CHEERFUL or CHEAP AND NASTY? Review with images 19/03/2007
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages A Little Big Car. Fun and Surprisingly Comfortable to drive. Very Cheap to Run.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor Radio. Hatchback Only Opens With Key. 135g/kg CO2 Nothing Special

WHAT IS IT? The Panda is Fiat's offering in the now ever expanding city car market, a very small (3538mm long - 1589mm wide) five door hatchback. Forget any thoughts you may have of the original flat glassed, three door, crudely styled Fiat of the same name, this, much more chic, very much better - Polish - built one, has now been on the market for approximately three years. The car reviewed here is also one of the very cheapest new cars that you can buy, which triggers the almost inevitable question; what is better value for money - a brand new one of these or, perhaps, a two year old Fiesta ... more

    Advantages Advantages Bargain price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None so far!

I didn't think the day would come when I would gleefully write about the death of my Punto. But alas, two months ago while passing a Fiat garage with a large 0% finance sign gleaming in the sun, the idea of a new car sprung into my mind. 0%, can I possibly go wrong I mussed? So in I popped with all intentions to upgrade my x reg Punto for a brand new sparkly Punto. At least that was until I spotted the reincarnated Panda sat beside what then appeared to be a rather clumsy big brother Punto! A small amount of sales chat and a couple of forms later, I became the proud owner of a bright blue ... more

Advantages Advantages Some good features and a decent price for myself.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bad, out-dated interor design, only four seat-belts, small boot!

The UK car industry has transformed in recent decades in response to the uncontrollable growth in demand for the everyday car. The market has expanded into new sectors (including previously absent age ranges) and the general cost of purchasing a vehicle has lowered, whilst the cost of running one has increased substantially. With manufacturers moving abroad, and new companies cropping up in developing nations, the variety of cars and car availability (shipped daily to the UK) has become unbearably impressive. Our Peugeot 806 (people carrier) died a few weeks back, and understanding the ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, Cute, plump wee Car, with nippy throttle and brakes.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Fiat haven't really put too much effort into the interior.

Way hay, we have bought a Fiat Panda and its absolutely fantastic. I can't tell you of the long term problems because we just bought it last week but the Insurance is cheap, and we got this new 55 plate Panda for a mere £5k. There are very few cars that look as cute and cuddly as this Panda. The aptly named bute is a very difficult car to criticise in relation to its shape. Ours is in black, and is gorgeous. As you get into the 4 door car from the drivers side, you notice the central locking and with a safety alarm immobiliser, absent from many smaller cars. The seats are comfy, but not overly ... more

    Advantages Advantages Everything!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Small boot, wish it had a little bit more power

I love my Panda. I have had this car for nearly three years and I love it just as much as the day I brought it new. So much so that although my husband offered to buy me a new car recently I couldn't find anything that was worth giving in my Panda. Why my obsession? Its small, easy to park, pretty, still kind of unusual, it is cheap to run and cheap to insure as well as having the all important pretty gear stick on the dashboard. lol. Ok so it is not perfect, the radio is a bit rubbish, but I changed that to a CD player and I am happy as larry. It also has a small boot, but with the seats down ... more
