I currently have a 2004 Fiat Punto active sport 8v. Its a nice car to look at and thats about it.
the acceleration is slow, top speed - depending on how heavy you are. about 90-100, but sayin that i did have 105 down a very steep hill on the motorway.
Any way ive had non stop problems with this car ranging from hole in the exhaust to a gearbox ceasure. the fuel ecconomy isnt as good as people say - my old rusty van does more mpg. To get full handling performance drive in very dry conditions not in the wet or you will just slide round corners over 15mph.
Mpg : avg. 40mpg Cost me: £3850 (fiat - kent) Cost due to problems with vehicle: allough i still had a warranty it would have cost over £1200 for the work needed. The car is more inactive than active sport!
Also if any one knows how i can obtain an aftermarket connector for the CD player so i can change my head unit please leave me a comment!) :)

How do you do and a warm welcome to Ciao. Being your first review an H from me, however we really need a few more details here about running cost (mpg / servicing / tyre wear perhaps), you do mention that a lot has gone wrong with it, but don't actually tell us how much it has cost to fix. My father in law actually has a three door one of these (identical to the one on the pic.) he's in Poland and his leads a pretty hard life, he's had no trouble with it whatsoever. One other thing....a little warning about "105" on the motorway - if the police catch you, you will loose your licence for exceeding 100mph, make sure you stay at 99, you'll still get a big fine, but at least will hang onto your driving licence. Richard.
