Advantages Fuel Economy, cheap insurance, quickest of the Mk1 1.2's puntos
Disadvantages Reliability, steering, limited power, not very safe.
When i first purchased the 75 SX i felt great. All of my opther mates had the 55 or 60 S. With the SX u get electric windows and central locking. i thought that was very good. however it wasn't long until i found problems. I bought it for £1000 from trade with 60,000 miles.
Puntos i have found out are unreliable in a few aspects, for one the clutch; and for two the head gasket. each will set u back over £200. Also; in the 3rd month of me owning one i had a recall for the brakes. One of my friends who owns the 60S still hasnt had a recall and his brakes have now rusted. Already i thought. . I need a new car. But after i had the gasket fixed its been seemingly more reliable.I really like this car for looks, exspecially with alloys, mine looks prefect. however as the struture of the car isnt as gd as it could be. if the car is in an acident its wrecked. I know three people who have bumped there car and have to have new bumpers, bonnets and the other car hasnt been scratched.
Now onto what i liek about this car. the fuel economy! i car do put £20 in it and get well over 200 miles sumtimes pushing 230 which i feel is extremely good. its comfortable inside too! and for a small car there is alot of space unfortunately none of this is in the boot.In 2nd 3rd u deel like u in a sports car after this u think! where has the power gone? it is a very quick car until u hit 4th and if u increase revs in 3rd you run the risk of over heatinmg the engine.
Overall if you get the car checked before hand to make sure its 100% i feel like its a good first car. However if you not 100% and split between this and someything like a Corsa or Clio i would recommend testing all three and make sure you really want a punto. However this car has never broke down on me which must say something about puntos.

I always thought that Fiats in general were quite reliable (my add is a mechanic and has been trying to tell me this for ages). Great review for your first time!!!! You'll find that the people on this site tend to like lots of personal opinion in your reviews rathee than just facts about the product, which you seemed to have got to a t. Many people like even more detail though examples I can think of for this are: what's it like to start in cold/wet weather, is it comfortable to sit in, can you see properly out of the back or does it have alot of blind spots, does it lack power on hills, is the teering light or heavy, what's the turning circle like, is there enough leg room for tall people, can small people see over the steering wheel and out of the front window easily etc etc. hope this helps
