Fiat Seicento Sporting 1.1 Abarth

Advantages: Small, quick, reliable
Disadvantages: Noisy, slow seatbelt retraction and violent windscreen wipers

I bought my second hand Fiat Seicento in April 2007, at 9 years old, for my first car. My car is a 1.1 Sporting Abarth edition which comes up upgraded alloy wheels, bodykit and abrath interior. It is a nice 'ferrari' red colour, which is a lot less of an eyesore than the yellow version! 1. Interior of the car The car is well made, with extremely comfortable sports seats. The interior of my car is Abarth with the scorpion logos embroidered onto the seats, which are navy blue and black. The dash is nicely arranged, and the additional rev counter seems to be in an odd position at first but you get used to it, and then it seems the norm. The leather steering wheel is nice and a good size, and complements well with the leather gearknob. There are what looks like carbon fibre panels on the dash which gives a nice sporty feel to the car ...

Fiat Seicento SX

Advantages: Small and easy to park
Disadvantages: Loud, uncomfortable and pokey.

Well, this car is a first time buyers dream. It teaches you exactly what you dont want in your next car. My car was supplied with a leaking sunroof which took months to fix, and also a faulty speedometer which rendered the car unsafe. However the latter fault took well over a month the fix and was only done so with the threat of legal action against the dealership. The fiat approved dealership were completely useless, and I always felt that I was treated differently for being a 17 year old girl. The car only scores 1 full star in the euro ...

Fiat Seicento SX (2001)

Advantages: Low cost, easy to park, many features as standard
Disadvantages: Dislikes hills, growly engine.

I previously owned a beaten up 1981 Mini Clubman Estate which unfortunately went to the great scrapyard in the sky. A friend convinced me to buy new and save my sanity - so I went shopping. I was used to very heavy steering, a noisy car with no luxuries, so every small car I took for a test seemed like a dream in comparison, to a greater or lesser extent. My local Fiat dealership was offering the Seicento on 0% finance back in November 2001. With the standard features on the SX of electric windows, sunroof and central locking - it was looking good against basic models from Citroen, Peugeot, Seat etc for a much lower price. The car looked neat, the price was right, the finance package was unbeatable - so I went ahead and bought one. Plus Points. Really affordable. Low insurance, lower rate of road tax, very easy to park ...
