Advantages: Great equipment levels, good range of engines, 3 and 5 door available. Disadvantages: Not without its problems, non exsistent aftersales service from dealers.

As an owner of the above model, the car is great but does have a few teething problems(nothing too serious, electrics and wheel tracking) Mine was graet for the first 6 months, but then things sarted to go wrong, first was the tyres, the fronts were very worn out on the inside edge, which made them illegal, and after countless visits to the dealer they could not find a problem with it, in the it was taken to an independent wheel alignment center and was resolved in 20 mins. The other faults were all electrical, and were rectified by the dealer.
The car is insurance group 14, so not cheap for young driver, but over 25s can expect to pay between £450 - £800.(approx)
The engine is a good power plant which makes a wonderful grunt if a little under powered, it has 170 bhp, 163ft/lbs of torque, and will get you from 0 - 60 in around 8 seconds.
Equipment levels are very good, sat nav, built in telephone, cruise control, climate control, rain sensing wipers, and light sesitive headlights, multifunction steering wheel, and voice recognition for most functions.
Its also got a selepeed transmision which is basically a semi auto, this means you can drive in auto mode and let the car change gear for you , or manual mode which enables you to use the gearstick up and down to change , or to use the paddles on the steering wheel at the flick of your wrist, for when your in F1 race driver mode. Admittedly it not the smoothest gear change in the world biu you soon get acustomed, to usng the paddles(which you can use to change gear in auto mode too)
Safety levels are also very good, ABS, EBD(electronic brake distribution), anti skid control, rear parking sensors, auto lock at 20mph, deadlocks and multiple airbags. The car also has a compartment over the glove box which can be cooled or heated using the air con/heater which is great if have a hungry baby , or if you want chilled drinks on demand.

Advantages: selespeed gearbox, endless list of gizmos, good looking Disadvantages: You might as well live in the Fiat service garage, thirsty, road tax is expensive
...But on the other hand Fiat probably love this car, they must make more money from it going back to them for repairs than actual sales. In 2 years I have had to shell out on;
Front and rear brake discs, pads and calipers at a cost of over a grand (only done 12,000 miles!) 4 new tyres, 500 quid (thanks to Fiat cocking up the tracking on the 02/03 models) The car has been in for 3 factory recalls, mostly to do with suspension faults, meaning I was ... ...I have to also admit, don't bother with Fiat after service care. It is non exsistant. I made this mistake, they never bother to contact you charge an absolute fortune. You know you have a unreliable car when the FIat service telephone number is a speed dial on your mobile!! ...

Advantages: the whole dam thing! Disadvantages: absoulutly none!!
...I have had my fiat stilo 2.4 abarth selespeed 3dr in sprint blue for nearly 1 year and I still get excited when i go to drive it. There has been no problems watsoever. If you purchase a brand new stilo like i did, then you know that you have been the only person to drive it, therefore know all that has happened to it.
I love the look inside and out and all my passengers are very impressed by the onboard comp, stereo, intergrared mobile, navsat to ... ...are Fiat Ducatos so they are a trusted brand. I suggest to all of those who are interested in getting one of these cars, to get one brand new. This will better for you, and for the car because you know all its history.

I read lots of reviews before i decided to buy the Fiat Stilo Abarth, i must admit i had my reservations, however i took the plunge and got myself one.
It's a 5-year-old 53 plate. I have only had the car for about six months now and can honestly say i have not had a single problem with it.
It's a very comfortable car to drive; it has all the toys and I think it looks great.
The car had 50K on the clock and has a full service history so i new it had been looked after.
All i can say is, for the money you pay for these cars you know your getting a bargain. ...
