I bought the game after looking for some afforable games. I saw it was by EA, so I thought it should be high quality stuff. The pictures on the back of the box show some interesting views, which is what made me buy it really.
However, when I got the game home and started it up all I could do was snigger. The menu graphics are the worst I have ever seen! Very dated!
The options are non-existant. Appart from difficulty level. Which only seemed to add an extra enemy or two to shoot down. Limited air craft choice. I can't say I saw the difference in them either, apart from the shape of the body.
The game did capture the basic combat fight sim essense. Flight control was acceptable. Weapons are very, very basic, but acceptable for me.
The commentary is rubbish. So are the other 'SFXs'.
Game modes are Missions and Non-Mission.. That says it all really.
The ease and simplicity of the game makes it enjoyable for half an hour or so. Or until someone breaks your control pad from trying to pull up out of the line of incoming 'missiles' too much!!
Overall this game is probably for your Dad, who has never played video games before, and wants to be cool.
