Mixed feeling about this service

Advantages: get to see film
Disadvantages: charge

Sky Box Office is a service provided by sky, and it is so simple. It's like ordering a take-away. You see a film you want to watch, and simply order it by ringing sky. They'll ask you which viewing time you like, and you have to chose from a couple of set times. And bingo you have bought a film from the sky box office. I, have used this service several times, and I think it is very good, easy and quick. They add the charge, which is normally three ...
...these films when we have Sky Movies, I thought when we were subscribing to Sky Movies and the other Movie channels, we were subscribing to the latest movies. I know why Sky make us pay, it's because it's another way to make money. Just like it won't be long before we have to pay for football matches even though we have Sky sports. I think Sky should think carefully when they start making viewers pay extra. Just like they show England matches on Sky ...

Great english films

Advantages: Good night time movies
Disadvantages: Dosnt start till 6pm limited on good films all day till evening

Film four plays some alright films only sometimes. I find it an odd channel it doesnt start until around 6pm and i find they only play good films late at night. Although they do play some really good english films the ones that grip you with all that inner city living alot by Guy Richie along those lines. One thing that did annoy me was adverts i didnt exspect an advert with it being right next to all the sky movies channels so that was a little ...

Paradise on a Saturday Night

Advantages: Great selection of films, no additional cost
Disadvantages: You need to wait until they've been on Box Office

...taken on his Holy Grail, Sky Television, a legendary treasure indeed. Okay, enough of the dave27 introductory b****cks. Let's get down to the matter at hand. Sky Premier does exactly what it says on the tin, it is Sky TV's Premier film channel and features an absolutely unrivalled selection of top class films, and is the most wonderful way of spending a Saturday night, although it's pretty damn fine the rest of the week as well. When you get Sky, ...
...the dave27-ettes: "We want a Sky Box Office," to which the standard reply is "I don't think so, young man," on "No chance, Fatty," depending on whether Leeds have lost or not. Homespun philosophy time - If I'm paying that much a month for the Sky package anyway, I don't see why I should pay any more to see a film which is soon going to migrate across to Sky Premier. I didn't get where I am today without being a seasoned tight git, you know. It may ...

BACK ROW TO THE LEFT OF THE MIDDLE

Advantages: Reasonably cheap at the comfort of your home
Disadvantages: Not as good as Sky's Box Office

...films to have appeared on Front Row recently. There are normally 6 movies on throughout the day to choose from at various times. Usually there will be one kids movie starting around 8am and one or two family movies up until late afternoon. The best films usually start around 6-8pm and repeating up till about 3am in the morning. The Blockbuster's tend to have at least 4 or 5 showings during the day, leaving plenty of time for you to choose your best ...
...seeing the same movie on Front Row over and over again. A classic example of this is the showing of 'Gladiator', which has not only been on continuous from two months ago, but also this month. Don't get me wrong, its a good film, but every time you switch over to see whats on this week, you see the same old movie once again. I haven't had a chance to see any movies on Sky's 'Box Office' because i don't have Sky digital, but looking at a tv guide ...

A wide variety of movies

Advantages: A wide variety of movies
Disadvantages: None

SKY MOVIES comprises all of the Sky movie channels broadcast on the Sky Digital satellite television system in the UK. Together these are known as the 'Movies Mix' and need to be subscribed to collectively, the viewer cannot subscribe to them as individual channels. The price of subscription differs depending on the complete package you receive, but personally I receive the 'Movies Mix' and the 'Variety Mix' and pay £34 each month, although the 'Variety ...
...the privilege of receiving the Sky Movies package. The 'Movies Mix' consists of a variety of channels, including those devoted to science fiction / horror, comedy, action / thriller, and family movies. As part of the package you also receive Disney Cinemagic (and a timeshifted version of that channel, showing the same programming but 1 hour later). It is also possible to receive Sky Movies HD1 & HD2 which are 2 high-definition movie channels, but ...
