    Advantages Advantages Some excellent descriptive passages, genuine Glasgow humour well recalled.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Some of it is self indulgent, the resentment of the author is acerbic in places

    I first read Finding Peggy by Meg Henderson about 15 years ago. It was a book I stumbled across in a London bookstore and felt compelled to read as it featured the fairly recent past in a city I know so well – Glasgow. I remember finding the book a wonderful read at the time, but it gathered dust for a number of years before finding its way into the charity shop donation box. It did leave a lasting impression on me and a few months ago when I was looking for some books to read for my holidays, I came across the book again – this time with a new cover.
